The only shampoo/cleanser I will use in my hair! I have very curly hair that gets tangled and dried out by traditional shampoo but cowash doesn’t seem to do much to my hair. This cleanser has been a total game changer for me. The formula actually cleans my scalp without causing dryness and doesn’t make my hair feel brittle either. The tingly sensation makes my scalp feel ultra clean and is very soothing. There is a light peppermint scent to this but it is not overwhelming. I use this in my son’s hair as well and it leaves his hair soft and easy to detangle. I’ve been using this for nearly two years and I have not found another shampoo that performs as well as this.

I highly recommend it. I first purchased this on Amazon a few years ago after finding an article about it on a website about curly hair. ( I have naturally curly hair that I have been fighting all my life.) This leaves my curles nice and soft and does not strip my hair like regular shampoo usually does. It tames the friz a bit even. (I also use this brands conditioner.)

I've tried so many products but NYC Curls is the only one that has stood the test of time for making my curls look and feel great.

I’ve been using the cleanser for years on my curly hair and i absolutely love it. It leaves my hair soft and moisturized, while also keeping it clean for 3+ days.

Somehow the pump on both the cleanser and the conditioner are broken. I didn’t lose any product but it comes out strangely. I like how my hair and scalp feel though. I have smaller flakes just with the first wash. I didn’t use anything more than the cleanser and the conditioner and my hair is soft, shiny and curls are still popping. I just don’t know if I need to wash and conditioner every other or every two days or longer. Oh, well… I will find my sweet spot.

Not only was I not raised to appreciate my curly hair, but i definitely wasn’t taught how to take care of it. I’ve tried to change my bad learned habits and teach my curly haired sons better. We have used Deva products but choose to use Carlos’s as they are just as good if not better. He is hustling like all other professionals, cuts my hair and my son’s. My son is special needs and he is GREAT with him. We love Carlos and will continue to support his business of products.

I really enjoy using this product. From the packaging to the consistency - it's perfect. It cleanses my hair well and leaves it feeling moisturized while smelling amazing. I have 3c/4a hair, for reference.

My daughters hair have never been softer and more manageable. What I didn’t like was 1/4 of bottle or more had leaked out.
