3MSuper Duty Rubbing Compound, 05954, 1 qt (32 fl oz/946 mL)

Car was parked for days at a time in the same spot and a film of dirt from soot, gardening and trees built up and dried flat on the car paint, seemingly eating away at the paint. The gooey liquid wiped it right off and left a shine. The carwash would likely have been inadequate on its own. So this occasional step is necessary. Then I wiped on an expensive wax I had also purchased here, at Amazon, and the resulting shine was amazing. For the next few weeks just a quick rain was enough to clear away soot build-up. Small bucket of water and microweaved cloth sponge was all that was needed. And rubber gloves, also. Easy to apply and excellent value in a large easy-to-store container. Scratches needed to be sanded but then also spray on a little clearcoat if you sand.

It works as well as I hoped, maybe a little better

Very abrasive but cuts great will remove scratches,oxidation and will bring back the shine but be prepared to 2 step because this compound leaves deep scratches.so you’ll need a good polish or finer compound to remove those scratches

Always using 3m products and it never fails me. As a do it yourself guy I am able to manage to remove all swirls and scratches with this compound. Even by hand it will remove all the impurities from the car paint.

Great Value works very well to shine paint back to original state.
