Original Stainless Steel Fish Basket

I love it

BUY IT!! It holds two of the Costco vacuum packed salmon/Mahi Mahi filets perfectly! I like that it is small enough that I can prepare/spice my fish inside with the rack on a plate, and then carry it out to the grill. No mess, and super easy. Also, my grill lid shuts fully since it doesn't have handle sticking out, and it takes up way less grill area. The very best part, it goes in the dishwasher - so no more trying to clean my long-armed old fish basket in the sink with a brillo pad and making a mess.I did stretch the coils slightly by hand to make a bit more room for the filets since it held them too tight the first time I used it. It was really easy to do. Now it holds them great and they don't get stuck around the coils at all. Sweet!I will be buying another as a gift from my Father in law.

It works perfectly for a single piece of fish. I have no problem with things sticking to it because you oil the food not the basket. Easy clean up in dishwasher

I used to grill my salmon with aluminum foil prior to using this product but this results in a superior outcome when using with my weber kettle (retains more of the smoke flavor). you do have to pay more for weber quality but they are meant to last. as long as you brush the fish with some olive oil prior to grilling, the fish doesn't stick to the basket.

Ideal for grilling small 3-4" or less fish filets for one or two persons Too small to accommodate all the filets required for 4 or more people. Washes in a dishwasher. Clasp has not come off in use but is hot immediately after the fish basket is removed from the grill. Opening the fish basket with potholders is rather awkward

I wouldn't plan on cooking more than 16 ounces of protein with this basket. Just right for two 8 ounce pieces of fish.The basket screen is too tight for delicate cuts, you need to stretch it out with your hands to leave an inch or so space inbtween the two halves when closed.Too bad about the sizing, this size should be a little bigger and the large size is way too big :-(

Was looking for an expandable grill basket for veggies and fish without a handle to interfere with closing the charcoal grill lid, so I got this. Unfortunately it is very very small. The dimensions listed include the frame and protruding handles, making the actual usable area for the food much smaller. If you are doing a single chicken breast, or a small trout with the head and tail cut off, or a few asparagus spears, this will work, but it's a lot of money for doing so little.It is well constructed and in general high quality compared to any other expandable grilling basket I've ever seen, but still it's hard to justify the cost for the usable space, so I sent it back.

We use it on the Smokey Joe and it fits nicely. Keeps the food secure.

It’s ok, super tiny. Great if you BBQ anchovies, anything bigger will be a struggle

Used this for cooking fish on our wood bbq. Good solid product. Easy to clean.

Really good. So far have done whole fish and various veg in this. The metal wires are springy and so they can change to fit awkward shapes. Very good.
