Comprehensive survey of the entire world of Disney comics
Alberto Becattini has created a comprehensive resource of information about Disney comic strips and comic books, with information that you just can't find anywhere else. He details the development of Disney comics in the US, UK, Italy, France, Spain, Scandanavia, the Netherlands, Latin America and Brazil, providing insight into the history of all the foreign-language comics that I've seen pictures of but have never read. I've wanted a book like this for a long time, and I'm so thrilled to discover that it exists, and it's such an engrossing and insightful read.

This is for Disney comics fans
A very thorough look at Disney comics around the world, with a good section on the US comics, and on the Disney overseas comics program. I was not aware of much of this information. Highly recommended, and Alberto Becattini has done the subject proud.

Add this encyclopedic book to your collection.
Alberto Becattini’s Disney Comics The Whole Story (Theme Park Press) is a hefty and scholarly historical text that reads as comfortably as a good novel, with over 400 pages of tidbits that inform, interest, excite and surprise. Disney fans, comic book and comic strip fans, fans of Carl Barks, Floyd Gottfredson, and many other Disney storytellers and artists, will find delight in these pages. They’ll learn the behind the scenes comparisons between racy newspaper strips and the more pallid comic book stories, and discover the publishing greed and gaffes that eventually brought the heyday of comic books to a disgruntled end.

A BORING READ
This book, to me, seems no more than a tedious list of characters and comic designers which didn't really engage me. I dropped it after 30 pages. It may be useful, though, for the comics' historian or to anyone who needs a timeline reference of Disney's endless production.
