Terrible! I bought this leash and immediately stopped using it. While it's quite cute and I like the bright white and yellow colors for nighttime walks, it doesn't do what is most important: Reliably work as a leash. Essentially the problem is this: because of the ribbon design it twists like crazy and gets stuck inside. This means you might desperately need to pull your dog in on the leash, and it won't retract. WORST- even when it wasn't twisted, retracting did NOT work well at all. Frequently there would be hanging piece of leash. All of this amounted to me feeling completely unsafe walking my little 11 pound dog in a busy city with lots of erratic drivers. I bought a new leash within a week of buying it. :(

I go through retractable leashes a lot seeing as my dog always pulls hard on the end and breaks them frequently, this one has held up well so far and its ultra low price means its an easy cheap fix if he breaks it.Recommended!

It seemed fine, and I loved the neon belt. But on our walk this morning, my 12lb chihuatzu ran to meet his girlfriend and the belt completely detached from the leash handle. I am so grateful that he was running toward a friend and not charging a big dog😰 I don't even want to think about that.

It is a very good retractable harness, that is not too heavy if the handle should fall.The coloring is very good and the quality of the product at this point in time (new) seems excellent.

It's an ok leash for the price. Does the job. Stops when you want it to, but doesn't retract all the way. Still a good product. Is not "chew" proof lol

I have never written a review before but I felt this was a necessity because this product is dangerous. Retraction takes many tugs and pulls and straightening of the cord. My dog could be dead before I would be able to pull him in. Also, the handle is very heavy. I stopped using it almost immediately and went back to my trustworthy retractible leash. I tried this one because of the visibility factor, we walk in the dark a lot.

It stopped provide the full retraction after one week of using. It started leaving about 5 inches but after one week 1 1/2 feet stays outside.

Had this for about a week now, no problems yet. Attached to an 16lb dog. I like that the handle is rubberized for grip and large enough for my hand. I am giving it 3 stars because I haven't had it long enough for a fair evaluation. Also I never let the leash out all the way . As of right now, I would recommend it , but time will tell. I bought it for the fair price and rubberized grip. *UPDATE* It is now a month and the leash has no issues, making it a 4 star.*UPDATE 2* I am down grading this to a 2. The retract mechanism has slowed down quite a bit but still works, that is not the problem. The leash has opened up a bit and will surely break open. It seems this may be caused internally with the brake as fraying is noticed in a secondary spot about an inch and a half further in. Remember this is a 13 year old ,16lb dog, way below their upper limit. I did like the size and rubber texture but I can't recommend this leash based on this.

Edit:Avoid avoid avoid. Connection is already breaking. Good thing I noticed before it broke off.I had it for 4 days!!! before it broke. My dog is a small 6kg dog, this leash was supposed to support a dog up to 23kgs.Look at the picture, it speaks for itself.

Broke within 3 months, the leash came right out of the handle when my dog was pulling. Definitely not good for puppies (we have a frenchie/boston terrier mix).

I bought this leash back in July and it has already broken. The leash came right out of the handle and is useless now. It feels like a good, sturdy leash and was good up until this point. I guess it's not as heavy duty as the name would suggest. I wasn't expecting it to last forever, but I would have hoped it would last longer than 4 months. I have a 22 lb. (10kg) corgi.

This is my first experience with a taped retractable leash. Used it a several times for a 12 pound dog, it's heavier and bigger than expected. The tape sticks frequently when you stop it, which is annoying and often does not retract fully. As well the tape is starting to curl, not sure if this is the norm. The lock mechanism does easily slides in and out of place.
