The Holy Grail of Shovels
Twenty five years ago, my parents bought a magical shovel. It was light weight, strong, and it made shoveling the long driveway much easier. My siblings and I would fight over who got to use the shovel, because it was so much better than the other shovels we had. And over the years, we tried to find another shovel like it, but we could never find another shovel that compared. (I guess because local stores decide to only sell the cheapest shovels?)That magical shovel was an old version of this shovel! And believe it or not, it is still in use after 25 years of shoveling a 100' long driveway in west central Wisconsin. Sure, the blade is worn significantly, but it still works well.I am thrilled to find that this shovel is still being made! It has the perfect blade profile for pushing snow, something that no other shovel mfg seems to have figured out. The fact that the design is largely unchanged and still in production after ~25 years says a lot.

Fantastic!
I can't believe I spent so much $$ on a snow shovel but I waited till the last minute and all the local stores were out when the big storm hit. I have a long sloped driveway and am in ok shape, but not a lot of upper body strength. (I'm a 56 year old female.) We got 3 inches of wet snow today and this thing made shoveling a piece of cake. Took maybe 10 minutes. When I hired young strong kids in the neighborhood to shovel for me with cheaper shovels it took them a lot longer. Well worth the money. Given how sturdy it appears to be I'm guessing it will outlast the cheaper big box varieties. Very easy to put together, the handle just snaps in place. They do come in 2 separate boxes. HIghly recommend!

Excellent snow pusher...but
Made in Canada by people who obviously know snow! The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because of its limited ability to scoop snow. It is not a very deep/tall shovel, maybe that is why it is called a snow "pusher" and not a snow "shovel". When you deal with massive snow quantities that are generally light as is the case here in Colorado, you may want to opt for a shovel as opposed to a pusher. Regardless, this is a lightweight, well built pusher that is even able to scrape through snow that has been compressed by car tires....

Great snow pusher/shovel!
Great snow pusher/shovel! Lightweight and easy to use by both me and my husband. We've had unusually high amounts of snow this year in Portland, OR. Luckily shipping was fast and we were able to keep our driveway and sidewalk snow-free during our most recent storm. The color is nice and neutral; not as obnoxious as some of the other shovels I saw. Also seems quite durable. I expect this shovel will easily handle the few inches of snow we get each year. The 26" blade clears snow on the driveway in just a few passes and the sidewalk in one pass.

Great shovel
I bought this shovel 5 years ago. Still it does the work. It’s very light and sturdy. When the snow is soft, it’s easy to push it with a minimum effort. My husband and I work as a team. I push the snow into a pile, and he dumps it away. I’m buying a second one today.

Nice shovel!
Thanks to a helpful reviewer on another Garant shovel, for those of you having "loose handle" troubles, all you have to do is turn the shovel upside down, with the blade in the air, handle facing the floor. Grip the blade with two hands, lift the shovel, and firmly push it toward the floor to snap the handle into place. It must be all the Garant shovels are shipped this way and this tip should be added to the product description. It appears to be a quality product (made in Canada!) and I'm excited to use it when we get our first snowfall. Definitely lighter than the old wooden handle/steel blade pusher shovel we currently own! I would not want to use this on heavy, wet snow. I think it's more for fluffy, sub-30 degree snowfall. Keep up the good work, Garant!

For pushing only
If all you need to do is push snow around, and only on paved surfaces, I'm sure this is fine, but not for me. I needed this to replace and old True Temper push shovel, I'm going back to using my old shovel. I push a lot of snow on my deck, then need to scoop it up and throw it, this shovel does NOT scoop unless you bend way down to get the right angle, even then it slides off. I also use a shovel to clear a couple paths on grass, this shovel digs in too much, the push angle is all wrong, maybe if you're under 5 feet tall, it might not dig in as much. I do not recommend this shovel if you need to push then scoop, the design is all wrong.

The best shovel out there!
I've been using this shovel at the condo site that I've managed for 15 years. It is by far the best push shovel on the market, it also scoops to a certain point. It doesn't have the metal edge that gets caught on every little thing and it lasts longer (at least a full winter) than any other shovel on the market. I've used several different kinds, due to this one not being in many stores and they all fail after a storm or two

IT'S MANUFACTURE'S NAME....
I PURCHASED A GARANT SNOW SHOVEL YEARS AGO...STILL WORKS ALTHOUGH WORN DOWN DUE TO AGE AND USEAGE. I WOULD SAY IT'S OVER 15 YRS OLD. THAT BEING SAID I LOOKED FOR THE SAME ONE AND I LUCKED OUT. IT'S A QUALITY SNOW TOOL. WELL WORTH THE $$$ INVESTMENT.

Good Quality Scraper
Does the job but needs me to push it. Can't find the auto-shovel button.

the size
I think this a good shovel, my only concern is the snap in handle, otherwise does the job

Nice lightweight Shovel !
I’m really pleased with this shovel!! It’s super lightweight which makes it easy to clear snow at any age. Even though the shovel doesn’t have the metal edge on the bottom, I find it works even better for clearing the snow without it!!Deb S
