The sword is very nice. But is hard to remove from it's sheath. It was purchased for a display and it ia perfect for that.

It's not watermelon-cutting sharpened, (we were bored, okay), but it is slightly sharpened. An edge could be put on it easily, so take that into consideration when choosing what age group to gift this too. My son wants this, but he's 16, so that's a no-go in my house. The sheath is all wood. The sword goes in and out easily, but there is a bit of resistance on the initial pull out, which is great, to an extent. I sat it's great, because this sits in tightly, so it isn't going to fall out. It would be very difficult for small hands to get this loose. However, there's no cross guard on this to protect your hand from slipping, and if you have to grasp the sheath with one hand and the hilt with the other to pull it apart to open it, there is a risk of slippage or simply holding it too close to yourself because there's no points of a cross guard to give you that subconscious note not to hold it so close to yourself. It slides in and you again have to apply resistance when seating it fully. Again, risk of slippage. So, that's my danger report on this sword. Otherwise, it's freaking awesome. An excellent prop, collectors, or cosplay piece. It's heavy, so you'll need a real belt to put this on to keep your pants up. The Uchiha Clan symbol is on the hilt and perfectly done. The all-black look is sleek and gorgeous. It's super nice, a bit of dust when you initially open it, so give it a careful wipe down and it'll shine up and look amazing. I'm very happy with this sword. It looks great on my wall rack with my other swords. A unique look and immediately recognizable as Sasuke's. The price is excellent for a real metal sword and the well-made wooden sheath. Super, super happy with this.

It's a real sword. Cheap steal that's relatively sharp. Cool presentation. It looks nice in the scabbard. Not for children.

As a costume piece, this sword isn't too bad. It's very understated, giving you the opportunity to make it yours with any kind of paint, applique, or carving you want. The scabbard and hilt are both made of quality hardwood so a good woodcarver could really have a field day with these and make them beautiful. The sword itself is much more than I'd expect for cosplay purposes. It's made of sturdy steel and while it's not razor sharp, the curved area and the tip have got a bit of an edge to them. The rest of the blade looks like it'll take a good sharpening if that's something you'd ever want to do. Myself, I'd like it to be an actual sword so I'll be sharpening it. This is obviously not an item that was slapped together on an assembly line. At least one actual human being put this together with their hands, something we see less and less of in the days of 3D printing so it's worth noticing and paying for when it's done right. In this case, they obviously knew what they were doing. As a costume piece, the price is a bit steep but as an item judged on its own merits, it's worth it. It's certainly not without its faults; the sword is incredibly front heavy and if you plan on carrying it by hand for any length of time, you'll want to find something to add to the hilt or pommel as a counterweight. Once you've done that, this is a perfectly serviceable sword that will look good during performances and when it's just sitting still. When I originally requested this sword, the price was lower. Others had noticed some of the things I've mentioned and were surprised that something this high quality would be sold at such a cheap retail price. When mine arrived today, I looked at the Amazon listing to refresh my memory about something and noticed the price has been bumped up a bit. This is a rare time when I'll actually support a price increase. I just hope that increase finds its way into the hands of the people who actually made the sword and not some greedy middleman taking advantage of people who want to support manufacturers who still employ humans to create things, even if it's just assembling the parts.

Not really as described. I'd say its actually a little better then the advertisement puts on. The blade is fairly sturdy and its a but sharper than they put on there too. You could cut yourself with this accidentally if you were not carefully. I also don't think it would pass security at a cosplay con. So why give it a 4 star then??? It's actually a nice little sword, not that there is any real use for those any more, a cosplay prop probably has more use. But, the metal is not bad tool grade steel and capable of being sharpened even more than it is, the handle is solidly attached, both the scabbard and handle are solid wood. I can not see any plastic on this sword at all. Finish and paint was nice too. There was a very small chip in the wood and paint at the top of the scabbard but nothing that was very noticeable. For the price you are getting something that took hours to make, was made by hand, and would be nice as a display or presentation.

The whole structure is loose and not put together well at all. The inside was very dirty and parts of it were even broken. Not made with quality items and feels horrible in the hand.

The blade of the sword is actually fairly nice, but the wood sheath and handle came somewhat beaten up, the wood is fairly soft. I think this would be nice base if you wanted to do a good DIY of Munetoshi or just want to have a sword base to tinker with. Personally thinking about buying some hard wood and redoing all the wood bits to make something real nice. The handle is attached well to the blade, I was able to swing around and didn't feel any give. Just be careful, as this is a real sword and can hurt somebody. Also the blade does come dull since it is supposed to be a prop sword.
