By far the best Garmin watch that I have ever owned
I upgraded from a vivo active 4 and WOW this watch doesn't disappoint. It has an exceptional battery life, I took it out of the box and wore it for 2.5 weeks before needing a charge. The brightness is great for MIP display and the watch has plenty of real estate for data (I bought the 51mm).It seems to be very durable but I would highly recommend a screen and bezel protector as this isn't an inexpensive purchase.

Glad I upgraded
I upgraded from the 5x to the 7x. Was worried I would regret spending the money. Very happy I did. Better HR monitor, flashlight, improved sleep tracking. I haven’t taken it for a run/bike yet but expect good things. Ran on the treadmill yesterday and it recorded far better than my 5x. Worth the money.

A great watch!
This is my third Fenix, after the 5 and the 6, and it is by far the best yet. I don't use any of the sporting activities, so that may be why, but the battery charge from 100% to 10% takes 28 days! One problem I had with the earlier versions is wear of the charging port. I assume that this was the cause, but I had great trouble getting a connection for charging. The 5 was even worse because you had to plug it in to upload the data to the phone app. Anyway, plugging in once a month should mean it takes a long time for the wear to be an issue! I love playing with the various watchfaces, editing and changing colours or fields, to get the look I want. Then I go get another one!Definitely not a cheap item by any stretch of the imagination, but I have no regrets at all!

expensive ultra trail running watch
I recently acquired my first ultra trail watch, which was a significant upgrade from my previous Apple Watch. One of the standout features that I immediately noticed was the impressive battery life, which lasts longer than 25 days and can even extend up to 30 days, depending on how you utilize its functionalities. This extended battery life is particularly beneficial for those who engage in long outdoor activities or races where recharging might not be feasible.Additionally, the flashlight feature is incredibly convenient for everyday use. For example, it comes in handy during those delightful evening barbecues when it gets dark, allowing for better visibility while cooking and enjoying time with friends and family. However, I have yet to fully understand how the solar charging mechanism operates. So far, I haven't noticed any significant changes in terms of charging the battery with solar power, but I am still experimenting with it.I've used this watch in several races now, and I can confidently say that I am very happy with its performance and durability. It has held up remarkably well under various conditions, and I am pleased to report that there are no scratches on the watch so far. Overall, this ultra trail watch has exceeded my expectations, providing me with both reliability and functionality that enhances my running and outdoor experiences.

Great watch if you can find it on sale
Upgraded from the Fenix 3HR. The HR sensor technology is a lot better, much better accuracy. The sleep tracking is a lot more detailed. I'm not sold on the touch screen yet, I've had issues with hitting the screen during workouts and having to clear screens.

Works well but not always intuitive
Stylish watch that works well for both sporty and classic looks. The battery life is excellent. However, the menu is not always intuitive, especially when navigating pre-set workout programs with multiple exercises. Also, keep in mind that the watch is fairly heavy — after wearing it all day, you might feel some wrist fatigue and want to loosen the strap or take it off for a while. At $500, it’s a pretty good deal, but I wouldn’t pay more than that.
