Really nice product

I bought two bags of this to refresh an old down pillow and other than it being an INCREDIBLE mess to work with, the down itself was top notch. It was soft, clean and fluffy with absolutely no feathers. I also liked the bag it came in. It could easily be stuffed to use as a throw pillow insert. I definitely suggest waiting until a nice day with NO wind to stuff whatever item you’re using it for. I put my old pillowcase and the bag of down in an extra large trash bag, put my hand in and then pulled the closure tight around my wrist. I then reached into the bag, grabbed a handful of down as tight as I could and transferred it to the pillowcase. Down STILL managed to escape from the trash bag so doing this inside is a no go! Also keep some anti-static laundry spray and a box of fabric softener sheets close by. After you’ve gotten all the down you can out of the bag, the spray and sheets will help you get the remaining down off of the bag and the interior of the trash bag- and yourself since chances are good you’ll have a ton of down sticking to you haha! It seems like a lot of work but I couldn’t be happier with my “new” pillow. A lovely firm yet fluffy queen sized 100% down pillow for half the price!

After being defrauded on numerous prior "down" (usually synthetic or frequently mostly feathers) product purchases, even on MOST Amazon purchases, it was refreshing to obtain real 100% down to easily make my own pillows at the loft of my choice. This down is clean, white, odor-free, with no feathers, and 3/4 lbs. was sufficient to fill two pillows in 15 minutes with very minimal clean-up (a few particles floated into the air but mini-vacuumed easily). Please buy your own down and displace the prolific fraudsters selling fake "down" on Amazon and elsewhere.

I used this down to fill the remainder of my top quilt for my hammock.It only had a few small feathers in it and 2 or 3 of them were colored lol. Since it is reasonably priced you have to figure that in the quality control. Take the fill rating with a grain of salt and expect it to be a bit less. If you bought down from other sellers on Amazon you know to expect this like I did. Over all though they were nice. Super clean no odor, 99% white, the weight was a little OVER the stated amount which is nice, and they did the job.Just remember you get what you pay for and to figure a bit more feathers than your down calculator says per baffle and you will be good.Pro tip: Do it outside and make a feather vacuum using a PVC "T" pipe like used in a sink and a shopvac to blow in the tubing creating a vacuum at the T where the feathers get sucked up. (Look it up online to see the plans on how to make the simple DIY) Use a scale and first weigh the bag then pull out as much as you need in the empty cardboard box it came in watching the scale to know when to stop pulling handfuls. Then fluf up the weighed down in the box and use the T diy tool to blow it into your TQ or BQ (top/bottom quilt). Feathers will go flying but at least your outdoors. In a house you will find them months after you cleaned. :D

The down is top quality, you can't find any better !! I filled my own pillow , to the exact personal fullness I wanted !! And its like a dream to sleep on the softness is like heaven !! Take my advice , fill outside , and place your old pillow and the bag of down , in a large trash bag and transfer down into your pillow to a very small opening you have opened at the seam, very slowly and carefully, and viola you have a brand new down pillow !!
