SwimovatePoolmate Plus Watch, Black

I got this for my son. Tried to set up the software on my phone. But after creating an online account, the software just kept say, “your password doesn’t look right”. Even though I verified it online.So then I tried the software on the pc. Well that had issues and I needed to manually install the pod drivers from the directory.It finally recognized the pod but putting the watch in upload mode and putting in the cradle and pressing the upload recent on the screen just kept tearing for me to put the watch in upload mode.Extremely frustrated.It should be a lot easier. 3 hours of stress and I won’t tell you what I actually want to do with this thing.

I love the accuracy and the simplicity of uploading to my phone. All I need to do is to hold the watch to the back of my phone, NFC transfers the swim data.The only down side of this watch is that it takes about 5 minutes for me to find the correct screen to watch the count. Every button depends on the button pressed before it to get you to a different menu.

I was a bit skeptical that this would really count laps! But - it works great. It does report laps as lengths - but that is easy to divide by 2 - to get lap count. This is really going to help with my swimming!

This is my 3rd Swimnovate watch, so I'm familiar with its operations, especially uploading statistics. I would give the watch5 stars, but I'm docking 1 because it's still LCD display, and probably the same rubber strap. My previous rubber strap fell apart. The display on my 1st watch started to darken, to the point when it became unreadable. Docking another star due to the inability to upload stats.Dislike: unable to synch to tha Android app. I have installed the app on both phones. On the 1st phone, I managed to upload my 1st set of stats. After that I have not being able to synch any more stats. The phone successfully scans the watch, but I get an Upload Error message. It's 4 weeks now, so only my 1st set is uploaded. I tried it on a second phone. The watch is scanned successfully, but no upload. No error message eitherI have uninstalled, and reinstalled the app. Still getting the error message. FAQs are not helpful. I can't find anything on the Plus.I installed the application on a Windows PC (after much trouble shooting). The instructions are way out of date. When it came to set the type of pod, the pod for the Plus was not listed. I tried both. The app can detect the pod, and the watch. I encountered difficulties in uploading. The watch has to be set in Upload. By the time I fix it to the pod, it had reverted to normal display mode, or the buttons on the watch might have pressed itself on the little holes when it fits onto the pod. Either way, no upload.

When I received it I noticed that battery was at level 3 instead of 5, and after 2 months, the battery is now at level 2 and started to work no accurately. Apart from that it counts laps very well. I guess if the battery were at right level when it arrived, my feeling would be more positive.

Hard to rate as my husband excitedly headed to the pool this am to test it out, and by the end of his laps, watch indicated 'low battery'. He says paperwork says to return watch for battery replacement but really? Battery supposed to be good for 2 years- what a disappointment!

the concept was great, but received a watch with low batteries so I couldn't transfer the log to the computer. returned it, and got a used watch in return with also a low battery. Knew it was a used watch because it already had a log on it.

The idea is good, as long as it works. I first got a watch with no battery at all. Sent it back to Amazon, and got a new one , only this time the battery last for almost six months.

Worked fine for 17 swim sessions, then misted up. I had Been in discussion with Swimovate the watch manufacturer based on my finding that the watch functions are limited. As the watch display then failed completely Swimovate then had me return the watch to them. Their report was that someone had opened the watch, mangled two screw heads, and not installed the water seal correctly.Poolmate plus initially worked well, but watch function is very limited. In auto it counts lengths and averages strokes. Length counting also works best in front crawl or backstroke, otherwise is not accurate. In auto, strokes and times are averaged and watch doesn't extract inactivity. When using pause and unpause after each length, seperates each length into a separate set, but this requires double button push. Then gives strokes for each length and times.Swimovate have been great offering to repair free of charge which is amazing plus an even better solution based on previous discussions.

Very disappointed. The battery has no power. The chain is a little dirty. I doubt it's a used one.

Product arrived with dead battery. Apparently this occurs if the retailer left it sitting on a shelf for a few years. Had to spend my own time and money replacing the battery.If this happens to you, don't worry, this is a do-it-yourself fix. You just need a new battery and a good precision screwdriver. The screws are tight, so don't use the wrong screwdriver or you will strip the heads. Don't pay some guy at the mall to do the job, he won't be as careful as you. There are YouTube videos to show you how it's done. You can verify water proof-ness by alternately submerging it in warm and cold water, then wear it for a few hours and make sure it doesn't fog up.I can't blame the manufacturer though. Good product, bad seller.
