A great book on Sigil Magic! Lot's of history of the practice, along with detailed instructions. Well written for both the novice and the more expert practitioner.

I am almost done with this book and found it very informative. I have always been interested in sigils and was thrilled to get this book. It is easy to understand for a beginner and also a good read for people with sigil experience. I don't think you will be disappointed in it and suggest getting it if you are interested in this topic.

It has a lot of information, and many methods to make a sigil. If you haven't a clue on how to do sigils, this is the book for you

This text is a concise, cumulative work that is perfect for explaining sigils and sigil magic to the beginner. Sigils allow us to embrace both power and vulnerability. From giving a history of sigil magic, including important figures, to expanding upon the use of sigils in chaos magic, to the use of sigils in Neo-Paganism, this book covers the background necessary before discussing how to create sigils from words, magic squares, wheels and circles, mantric spells using sound, and pictures. Identification of Wiccan elemental symbols, often used as sigils, is a powerful chapter. The strongest part of the book are the cautionary sections on charging and destroying sigils, crafting personal items such as talismans, and the concluding summary which reminds the beginner of the most salient discussion points in the books. I have worked with sigils for years and would recommend this book for beginners as well as those who have some experience with sigil making.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book is very well written in terms of the text. It was far more well researched and had more in-depth information than I expected. But there are essentially no illustrations or diagrams. There's one generic illustration of the Wiccan wheel of the year, and that's it. It seems bizarre to me that a book about creating visual symbols would have not a single example of said symbols on its pages. It was difficult in places to visualize what the author was describing, even when she was describing a type of sigil I had prior familiarity with. Others I had no idea how the sigil was actually supposed to be created.It's disappointing, because as I said, there was a lot of history and a lot of explanation of how sigils work. But without proper examples and instruction on actually creating them, the rest of the information isn't of much use.

This book did not disappoint. It was informative for a beginner to learn about sigils. Ms. Hall's books are easy to read and understand. I look forward to reading more of her work.

Sigil MagicI really enjoyed this book it took Sigil magic and made it understandable. I really loved the breakdown of the origin of Sigil magic. This will help the old and new practitioners fully enjoy and understand the nuances of this craft. I really enjoyed the Magical Key of Solomon you will need to read the book to understand the 72 sigils used, it has expanded my knowledge and interest in finding out more about sigils. I loved the chapter on Creation and Destruction of Sigils and making a grimoire about them if you choose to do that. The chapter on Creating Pictorial Sigils was fabulous and very helpful to me, I found so many fascinating points in this book. I could ramble on and on, however, I will not do that. I highly recommend purchasing and reading this book, it should be a staple in your library. I know it will be in mine, I think this will be a spectacular book to give as a gift.

Before reading this book, I knew nothing about using sigils for myself...but I wanted to. I have several friends who use them and I have wanted to know more. They seemed so beautiful and mysterious to me, but I had no idea where to start. This book has opened a lot of doors for me in this area. I love that the author teaches us the history of sigils before teaching us to create our own sigils and different ways to use them in our lives. The information is clearly given and it is easy to grasp the instructions given. I am so glad I read this book. I will be referring to it often. Don't be afraid to order this one.
