Fits my 2007 Honda Pilot 2wd
I replaced my 2007 2wd front struts and springs with the kyb complete strut and spring set that is made for the 4wd (sr4168 and sr4170). Installation regarding fitment is exact. The new spring is a lot beefier and the ride quality is firm but in a very good way. I like it and im glad i did it.I did a bunch of research on different sites of the individual parts to make up a complete front strut/spring assembly.....all parts were interchangeable between the 2wd and 4wd,..... the only part was the spring that had a different part number, yet one site i saw sold it for both the 2wd and 4wd. A lot easier to replace each unit as a single part rather than needing to compress the spring or find a shop to do it. I changed both front assemblies in 2hrs. Btw...each KYB complete strut/spring assembly is like 15lbs heavier than the stock, be creative and you can do it yourself like me or ask for help.fyi: Ride height between a stock 2wd and 4wd is only about 0.7" according to specs and their weight difference is about 170lbs. My Pilot may ride just a bit higher but im waiting for the new springs to settle before i measure to see the difference.

Smooth as silk, silent and responsive worth the money
5 stars so far, after a few weeks of use on the pot hole roads of NJ they are holding out well and have been broken in. Very good ride maintains the alignment. Smooth, silent and the car goes in the direction I am pointing it in. Dont waste your money on the cheap struts these are worth the money and will save you money on tires and brakes on the long run.

Huge improvement over stock unit.
I recently bought a cream puff 2005 Honda Pilot AWD. I replaced the front (and rear) suspension using these struts for the front. DIY project that yielded excellent results! Make sure to have a wheel alignment performed on your vehicle afterwards. Very happy with these struts.

Not quite the OEM match like is says.
This part is not the easiest to replace, but can be done as long as you know what is involved and have the tools. I read up on the KYB brand having a relatively good overall reputation. It seems that in the last few years, many "known" brands have been disappointments in that area. Then, there's the debates between getting the whole "quick struts" with the springs or not. I got the quick strut versions because I didn't really want to deal with compressing the springs too.Well, these were not exact matches. They were 1" shorter than the original struts - which only really matters while installing one at a time because it changes the location of the sway bar link and you have to jack up the control arm to get the link high enough to re-attach to the new strut link mounting point. Then, you have to jack up the other side control arm to relieve the sway bar torsion on the other attachment point to remove it.While the whole assembly was 1" shorter, the spring itself was thicker and wound more times in the shorter space. I'm sure that was to adjust for the stiffer spring diameter, but once installed, this still resulted in the front end sitting almost 1" higher with the original struts. A card on the part did say that it may sit higher and needs to "settle". Well, it's been almost a month, and it still sits just as high as when I first lowered the MDX after installation. The strut itself being 1" shorter only affects the wheel motion extension - like, how far the wheel extends when jacking up the vehicle to change the tires.I will say that the ride was better since the original struts were pretty much gone. And the height change is not all that visibly noticeable. I still need to change the back shocks, but those are just regular shocks and much easier to deal with - and don't affect ride height.

Fits perfectly. High quality. Excelent ride and handling, like new OEM.
Straightforward installation if you have the tools and skill. There is good videos in YouTube to guide you.

Great OEM style product.
Fit just like factory, and made the install extremely easy coming as a whole unit. Ride quality is as good as factory parts.

Honda Pilot stuts
3rd car I have fitted KYBs to. These were a perfect fit, exact copy of the OEMs. However, they came without the three top fasteners. Will report back in 1 years time.

KYB SR4168 & SR4169 Strut Plus Complete Corner Unit Assembly
If you have a vehicle lift available, swapping out the struts is childs play. Things lined up and installed easily. Torque specs are online at KYB. Far better than the worn-out original struts. The struts work well as they should. We'll see how they hold up in the long term.
