Easy 10 minute install - direct replacement for old analog
We have a 1999 Four Winds Class C and the AC was either meat locker cold or just not cole enough. It had the original Coleman analog unit with the slides for controls. This unit is a direct replacement. The wires and colors all match up and connection is simple. Its a little larger that the old analog, but the holes matched up and it mounted just fine. The biggest thing I noticed is the temperature is more accurate. The old unit was way off, this one is right on the money. Its an easy upgrade and worth every penny.

Great upgrade from a mechanical thermostat
Great thermostat and much better than the mechanical thermostat that came in my Jayco 26BH!I tried to go the DIY route last year and buy an a cheap house thermostat to use in my camper and even installed a micro toggle switch to retain the hi/low fan speed function. When I installed the hack job thermostat, I must have crossed some wires trying to figure out the differences in the wiring colors between the camper and house thermostat. As a result, I blew a fuse and popped the "secret reset switch" on my Atwood furnace. Sine my furnace fed power to the thermostat, I did not have A/C on that hot day. After fixing my power problem, I ordered the Coleman digital thermostat and installed it. The wires on the new thermostat were the same color as the old mechanical Coleman so installation was really simple. The A/C cycles a little more often with the new thermostat installed but gone are the nights where I would wake up freezing because the mechanical thermostat took too long to sense the temperature change and shut off. I'm very happy I made this upgrade.

Accurate temp, Easy install and 2 fan speeds.
Awesome replacement for old Coleman standard version, allows you to utilize both high and low fan speed, which is very important due to on extremely hot days you run the fan on high speed, so it also moves more air across the condenser coil due to the RV fan is dual shaft....Cooler days run low speed because this allows the condenser to run a little warmer and slows down the air over your evaporator coil which removes more moisture and gives you colder air from your vent. I recommend running low speed when ambient air temperature is below 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

Works good! Turn off furnace and Ac before wiring
I initially had trouble getting it to work. I wired it exactly like my amalog Coleman. It would display the temp for a few seconds then go off, blank display. I thought the wiring was wrong and tried some other combinations with no luck. At some point I realized I should have the ac power off while working on the thermostat. So I flipped off the circuit breaker. Wired it the original way and it worked.

Accurate thermostat, easy install, may need extra parts.
Replaced the crummy analog unit shown here with this tstat, and the difference is phenomenal. We used to either sweat or freeze. I put a digital thermometer next to the old unit a few weeks ago, and found the variance on the analog to be as much as +10° from the set temp, and a slight touch to get the AC running would send it careening in the other direction, til our formerly sweaty selves were now hypothermic from the chilled air that wouldn't quit. Since installing this (which was a simple matter, the mounting holes matched up, and the wires all matched the factory wiring in my trailer), I have not needed to touch the thermostat once. It's been set at 70°, it comes on when the thermometer reads 71°, and shuts off when it's at 69°, and the built in display agrees with those readings. I couldn't be happier! One thing I will say, though: It only comes with one wire nut. There's a strong possibility you'll need more than that, or a different connection method, like solder or butt splices, since most factory wiring in modern rvs uses one time use crimp on connections. I already have a ton of wire nuts from other restoration/upgrade projects in this thing, but your mileage may vary.

Not new… product malfunctions
We were sold what was supposed to be a new thermostat. When we opened the box all of the wires were already twisted as if it had been installed once. Description accuracy was incorrect. No matter, wires are hidden after we install it too so we chose to install and get it working. So easy to install, but to our dismay the item is broken and the room temp was reading 99 degrees no matter what temp the house was at. Our RV is somewhat shaded and the day is only 70 degrees today. Sad that we were shipped a thermostat that was not functional. Time to take more time to return and wait for the refund.
