This book will inspire you, give you hope, make you cry, make you open your eyes and mind and most importantly encourage you to get up each day and make not just yourself a better person but do something in your day that makes this world a better place...be it a kind gesture to a stranger, pay it forward act, smile and radiate loving kindness to all. You will realize all these small gestures and acts of loving kindness does really have an impact (energetically) on all those around you. I love the way Mariannne Williamson writes.....its in such a way that you resonate with every word she says .....she's real and you know she has been through her stuff too. Life is a challenge for all of us, but how she talks to you about how you can change all that and that we will never be perfect every min of the day. However, we can get up each day and start again or continue to build on each day. I will read this book again and again....great one to keep on hand or give to a friend as a gift.

I purchased this book for my Husband and he is going to write a review.I found this book to be all I expected it to be. I am presently doing a program called "A Course in Miracles" and this book relates directly to it. The Author brings it to life in a down to earth way. I have already read the book once and I am halfway through it again. It is deep but very meaningfull while the Course in Miracles is very difficult to wade through. This puts it in a very practical way that I can relate to in my life. I would strongly recommend it to those who are searching for a closer relationship with God.

Firstly, I've read all the reviews for this book and I have to say that in my opinion anyone reaching out to help us change who we are can only be an example of a first class human being. If we want to be honest we will realize that Religions have been around for thousands of years and if you really look at our planet you'd have to wonder how it could possibly be in the state it is in while we have all of these religions. Is it because of what some would call "the devil"? Well, what about us? Where is our responsibility? We are the ones being greedy. We are the ones dropping bombs. We are the ones polluting the earth. We don't want to take responsibility for the ugliness of who we are, which is sad because it's so easy to not be this way, there is plenty for all of us, if we would just stop and realize it, just stop racing around like we constantly "need" something else to "be happy." One idea we really need to consider when we address others as "new agers" is that when Christ walked the earth HE WAS DIFFERENT, in fact, HE SPOKE OUT AGAINST THE TEACHINGS OF THE CHURCH AND IT WAS THE CHURCH THAT CRUCIFIED HIM!!! My wish is that we will get to the place where we love ourselves and love each other as God loves us.

Simply stated I love this book. I have read this book at least three times. There is a freshness to the language and narrative, such that it feels timeless. I have recommended the book to others and loaned out my hard copies of the same book.

The bridge on the cover seems replicated in a local park, a meditation point for several of Marianne’s observations. We are never too late in life to accept and develop fuller lives through change.

I did, in The Gift of Change! I wasn't ready for it when I first got it. I'm so glad I kept it around!

This book saved me years and years ago, and began my new found way of being! This was a great book to read when something really changes in life and you are just HURT, and looking for answers.

Like being in a Masterclass. Not an easy read but a dedicated, focused time giving read. So many lessons of connection with self and God. At the start it felt as inspirational quote tips with no practical substance but later in the book it comes closer and closer to a balance of inspiration and examples of practical ways she performed it in herself. At the end she gives you the gift of reconnecting yourself with a higher power. You have to be open to God to read this book but I think Marianne Williamson is already known for this.
