Instinct seems to be in good supply and is made in the US using plastic and foil containers. I was in a bit of trouble with my 3 cats who only eat Royal Canin (also named Instinctive). Since the minced pieces look similar to Royal Canin I tried this food. I did not mix, I placed equal portions of Instinct and Royal Canin side by side in the cat bowls and all 3 cats went for the new Instinct food, but also finish up Royal Canin. Thank goodness since Royal Canin has been sold out for the last 4 months. Unfortunately, Instinct costs a little bit more but also contains .5 ounces more so pretty much the same per ounce. The cats just get more food. Will have to try the other flavors to give some variety to their diet and have other options for the next shortage. And to all those scalpers who are trying to sell Royal Canin at 4-6x normal price, I hope my cats get to poop in your shoes one day.

I love instinct i started feeding my kitties the chicken instinct food for kittens and i feed them the dry instict food i don't know specific type offhand. I ordered this one to try to get my 15 and 14 week old kittens off the kitten feed and onto the adult stuff. Anyways after i was using this food for about 4 days I saw my first kitty throw up after eating it and a day later my other one did the same thing. I thought maybe theyd gotten into something they shouldnt have but it happened again right after eating this stuff so I am fairly sure its because of it. I love instinct and will not stop buying their product my cats love their dry food with the chicken bits in it but i wont be ordering from this seller again. Esp after seeing all the reviews from people saying that their package came completely rancid and bad.

The consistency seems thicker. Any food dated with 2022 expiration is different than before. The ingredients listed look the same, but my cat refuses to eat it now. I compared it and it’s thicker, less gravy. It’s frustrating when you spend 24$ expecting one product and get another. Won’t be buying again.

They've changed from chunks to paste. We started using the small cans, but they stopped selling the chunks and out cats won't eat the pasty food, they make a mess pushing it around and out of the bowl but don't eat it. Instinct has been great for our cat with stomach issues, but its very expensive for them to keep changing it for the worst.
