I unfortunately had the same problem as many of the other reviewers GERD or Acid Reflux causing me to cough, post nasal drip, and kept me up all night. I tried this natural product because I don't like take medications and to my surprise it worked. I had a decent nights sleep, the post nasal drip slowed or almost ceased and I feel like I'm getting my voice back the swallowing is improving. The product is costly but worth every penny. If you have GERD or ACid REflux this is what you need and it tastes great.

Not all alginate products are created equal. This meets all the criteria. Do your research before you go to the cheaper brand. This has no artificial sweeteners and tastes great. You only need a teaspoon so it will last a long time. It gave me the best night sleep in days. My GERD was the worst it has ever been as a result of antibiotic I had to take. The constant cough stopped as well as the need to have the head of the bed 45 degrees.

I have suffered from reflux for over 30 years and I get it now with anything I eat, except coffee! It has gotten more severe the older I have gotten. I've tried prescription meds as well as OTC. This stuff is absolutely amazing!! The taste isn't bad at all, in fact it is my favorite flavor among all brands. Do yourself a favor and try this, there are no drugs in it and it seems to be really effective. The only thing that may be a problem to some is the price, which I believe is fair considering I don't need to buy anything else for this problem. It's a little thick, but it does go down easy.

It seems to work sometimes. However, sometimes it doesn’t seem to last very long. It’s incredibly expensive for what you get. It comes in a very large tube however, I’ve had the tube for a week and I don’t believe I have many days left on it. I’m taking it 3 to 4 teaspoons a day. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again. The flavors OK but it’s like eating a spoonful of sugar, incredibly sweet.

I got this several years ago after having tried many different fixes for my throat not clearly up (I was always clearing my throat). The docs thought that I had GERD, or something similar, that was causing post nasal drip or otherwise causing buildup in my throat. They suggested that I try this. I've been using it for a couple of years and have had good results with it as effective. I like that it is all natural. It tastes good, is easy to swallow as it is not too thick, and seems to be of good consistent quality. It will form a bead on your finger like toothpaste, just a wee bit more liquidity, so I often take it using my finger as a spoon!!

My husband has constant reflux and I bought this for him to try. He says it tastes really good, like the caramel he likes to put over ice cream. Unfortunately, he still needed to have some Tums later that evening as he continued to have an issue. I'm trying to get him to give it more of a chance since I now can't return it, but will also try it myself for the rare times I deal with reflux.

I think this is a fantastic brand. My doctor suggested I take it. Gave it a shot worked wonders. Great for acid rebound or ween off ppi a bit. However its was only for a few hours 2 to 4 max. Took its 4 times a day. 1 with each meal and before bed. My only issue I think the sugar needs to be modified to zero sugar. If your taking it 4 times or more, everyday, Which I was doing. I did a blood test during a visit and saw elevated sugar levels. I did not like it. Id say long term please change that. Maybe sugar free or somthing where dont have to worry about sugar levels rising. But overall extremely good for a few months then take a break. Go again.

I’ve had acid reflux for years and recently it had gotten worse. My gastro guy suggested I take 2 doses of the acid reflux stuff that works for me. I’m one of those people that need to use Prevacid (Lansoprazole) versus the others to get relief. At one point I had burn spots the length of my esophagus that was causing chest pains, so it was bad. I got the burn spots under control, but despite taking 2 pills every day of Lansoprazole, I still felt pretty rocky in the AM. Initially I just took 2 in the AM and then switched to 1 in the AM, 1 in the PM, but still there was that irritation in the AM. Still I was on a high dose. A former colleague of mine when we had a Christmas get together passed on information for this reflux gourmet stuff. Honestly I was skeptical at first. However you hear horror stories about long term uses of meds like lansoprazole and I was at a high dose for several years. This stuff looked a whole lot safer, if it worked. Well it worked. From the first day to the tenth. I take a teaspoon of this at bedtime and I wake up, irritation free. While I still take 1 lansoprazole in the AM, I plan to discontinue that as well. Not sure if I will need a teaspoon of this to take its place or not, as my biggest issue is at night. No hard ship, though, it is tasty. Cost wise the lansoprazole was $13 for 42 pills. For me that was $0.62/day, if I take 2 pills/day This tube has 47 servings at $28. So that would be $0.59/day if I take it once/day. So it is also at a better cost, without the side effects.

It is not suitable for me, but I cannot return it. It is expensive, doesn't help me and such a waste of money. The sugar level is so high, it is too sweet! The mint chocolate flavour is awful, the caramel is a bit better. But it is too sweet for those severe GERD/LPR person even to swallow it.

Am unable to take most commercial anti reflux medicines so am delighted to have found Reflux gourmet . No nasty additives or chemicals preservatives etc tastes yummy and most importantly works a treat. Super happy

Not as effective as Gaviscon and also more expensive so I'll be sticking with Gaviscon going forward. It tastes nice though.

Tastes nice. But had no lasting effect on my reflux

I regularly buy this product and it is normally great. However just opened a new tube and the contents looks and tastes a bit different to usual. I am therefore a bit concerned about using this tube. Especially as it is taken by my 5 year old for her ongoing reflux.
