Worth every penny. Works like a charm!
These sockets are awesome. I had an oil plug In a disc mower with the hex head rounded off. The issue was that the plug is in a counterbored hole so I couldn’t get anything except a socket on the bolt head. I tried several methods and other bolt extractors but nothing would work. Everything just slipped and rounded the head off even more.I ordered these and they were delivered in two days, just as promised.I promptly got my ratchet and went to the barn. The bolt head was really mangled by this point and the 17mm socket I needed to use would only start on the head and not go down any further. I used a hammer and tapped it down until it bottomed out against the flange. Inserted my ratchet and pulled with both hands with everything I had. BOOM... plug breaks free and comes right out. The tapping of the socket did nothing to the grippers of the socket. Still looks brand new. Best 20 bucks I ever spent!

Seems to be a well made set, has worked great for me so far
Needed to get this set so I could remove a rounded oil pan bolt head that was very mangled up with several efforts to break it free from cutting in a slot to try and use a screw driver as a lever (broke the screwdriver) to Vice Grips digging in but just stripping off more metal. In finding the piece that was the tightest fit (used a hammer to fully seat over the bolt head) and then using a long breaker bar, this dug in & I was able to break the bond and remove the oil pan nut without having to drill it out instead. In one of the photos where there is a diagonal groove in the side of the head of the bolt, this is from the extractor digging in. So even with how mangled the bold head was, I was able to use this set to remove it.This set so far seems to be well made & makes a nice addition to my overall set of tools. I am very happy with this purchase.

These did the Job PERFECTLY! (Where even the Vice Grips Failed)
Background:I have a 2017 Subaru Forester that, up until now, has had its oil changes performed at Subaru (car came with 2 years included maintenance). Now that those 2 years are up, I'm doing the oil changes myself. Shouldn't be a problem--I've been changing my own oil for more than 20 years. I'm no expert mechanic, but more than capable of performing an oil change.Well, the Subaru guys over-torqued the ever living crap out of the oil drain plug, and as an extra special present, left if partially rounded off for me, which I proceeded to completely round off when I attempted to remove it--credit where it's due.I tried using vice grips to remove the plug (I've had success with that method in the past), and had some good attempts (that would have been successful in removing a properly-tightened bolt), but that bolt was not moving.I was ready to take the car down the Subaru dealership in a rage and demand they fix it, but I thought I'd give this a try (after this shenanigan, I'm not too keen on the Subaru clowns touching my engine again--if they can't even torque an oil drain bolt correctly).First try was the 14mm socket remover. The socket got some good "bite," on the bolt, but it was just too far gone, and too torqued to come off, and the 14mm remover ground around the bolt. I was worried I was about to be out $35-bucks on this socket set and still no closer to getting this bolt out.Next try was the 13mm socket remover. The socket "bit" right in, and sunk down to the bolt flange. I had socket connected to a 1/2 inch drive on a 12 inch long ratchet wrench, and it took all my body weight (I was literally off the ground pulling on that thing, and I'm 6' 2" and 260 pounds! Of course, I could have applied a cheater bar to the ratchet, but let's not be reasonable), but that bolt finally came out! I couldn't believe it! They must have had that torqued at like 100+ ft-lbs! Freaking idiots! (Spec on that is probably around 30 ft-lbs).Anyways, this bolt remover set worked perfectly, and saved the day like a champ!Onto the Review:How this set works: this bolt remover set works by "biting" into the bolt as torque is applied (the bolt will NOT be reusable when you are done, but if you're looking at this set, you probably just want to get that bolt out of your life forever anyways). Inside the socket, there is some rifling (grooves) that will force the bolt farther into the socket until the bolt head is fully enveloped in the socket. Once fully enveloped, (the bolt head should "bottom out" inside the socket, and torque is applied until the bolt turns free. Once the bolt is removed, I used some vice grips to clamp onto the bolt threads and turn in the opposite direction, and the bolt should (pretty easily) come out of the socket--that was my experience at least.NOTE: This set will not work in reverse-thread applications, as the socket will be spinning with the rifling, instead of against it, and be unable to bite into the bolt.Socket quality: I don't have an air compressor (I'll get there one day), so I can't vouch for durability in an impact wrench setting, but these appear to be very well built. The metal does not appear thin or flimsy. To the contrary, they are beefy and solid. They also have a hex at the top so the can be wrenched on independent of a socket wrench.I expect these socket to stand up to repeated use just fine.Case is (typical--read: cheap) plastic tool case grade, but has holes clearly marked for size, and should still stand up pretty well to repeated use. For the price, the case could have been a bit better, but that would be my only complaint. Conclusion: this set is now a permanent resident in my tool set and has proven its mettle in battle. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Good
If you can get these to bite onto your stuck bolt they'll usually get the job done. I had to use these on a nearly flush bolt and it was thankfully able to which saved me a bit of money. But after looking at the used bit I can already see the grooves which give it bite have chipped and slip now. They work well for a few jobs but for prolonged use I don't see these being the tools for my garage.

Super Buy must have for tool box arsenal
This is a must have for your tool box. I have been getting the oil changed at the dealer since I bought my van last year. Went to do my own only to discover the oil plug was put on by the Incredible Hulk. I used the right socket but it just rounded the bolt. So I used vice grips on it to no avail and I just made it worse. Looked up on the inter web and found these awesome tools came out with ease and bought another factory plug so it is now good as new and now I know who put it on so it will be a breeze next time I do my own oil change. I would recommend buying this set it is a good price and seems to be good quality. This is something that will not be used all the time but will have it when needed.

These worked! Nothing else would.
I tried another brand of this type of socket, those did not work at all. This set did the trick for me. I had a bolt that was so rusty, you could not distinguish the bolt from the washer and bracket, it was one solid mass of rusty metal. I sprayed the crap out of it for several days with Kroil and it finally broke loose. I tried a standard socket, standard wrench, a vise grip and even a pipe wrench, these all slipped. This set grabbed and wouldn't let go. Great product for my application.

Gets the job done fast
Would rate it 6 stars if I could.I was having problems undoing a stuck oil drain bolt on my car as it had been rounded off by using an improperly sized socket. Used a hammer to tap one of these onto the bolt and had the thing undone in about 5 seconds. I would highly recommend these to someone in a similar situation. Very quick and easy to use.For what it's worth, the finish on these is pretty nice as well.Comparable set at Canadian tire was around $80, so they are priced well too!

STURDY AND EFFECTIVE
Very impressed with these sockets. One of the locking lug nuts on my truck broke along with the key.I needed to get the broken one off along with the other 3 that were intact. The first (cheaper) set I purchased broke as soon as I hammered it on.This set of sockets took an absolute beating to hammer on and it extracted all 4 lugs with minimal damage. I can still use it again if needed.I’m extremely pleased and saved me 200$ to have the dealer drill the lug nut out and replace all 4.Buy these before you pay someone else a bunch of money for a 10 minute job.

2 seconds
Great product! I was having trouble taking my lug nuts off my Jeep as they had no edges anymore and I used this and within 2 seconds it came off. The quality of metal they use is really good as well. Worth every penny. EDIT; I removed a Star as it wouldn’t fit my drill directly and I had to use an attachment for the drill. I tried taking the lug nuts off my Dads truck and the attachment broke inside the bolt. I had 4 attachments for the drill and they all broke from one lug nut. I wish it would be big enough to fit my drill directly.

Brake Caliper Bolt Removal
Used this to remove a disc brake caliper slide bolt. Bolt head had become rounded after numerous attempts to remove despite the use of penetrating oil etc. Decided to give this tool a try before taking the vehicle to a mechanic.Using only a 3/8 in. socket wrench with handle extension, I was able to remove the seized bolt in about 30 seconds. Bolt/caliper pin threads had badly corroded due to ingress of road salt.Very impressed. Tool paid for itself the first use. Nice quality & highly recommended.
