Have opened my eyes
Normally some writers would be conservative when talking about race issues, especially when they are white. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to look at this manace called "race" with an objective perspective. Our communities teach us that race is inherent in our genes not created; but facts cited by the writer clear and unambiguously refute such teachings. What is highlighted here lambasts both races - black and white.

Great intro to race in America
This book takes on the historical, anthropological, and sociological beginnings of "race". If you are someone that does not understand how the concept of "race" began then this is a great starting point. It also shares how the current concept of "race" has created hostility and distrust amongst humanity. It will open your mind.

An Eye Opener
Very academic, so it can be an effort to get through it. Montagu makes a very strong case against the physical anthropologists of the time. Anyone who is firmly against racism, or who is just not sure, should read this book.

Propaganda
Social anthropologists like Montagu abandoned science for social engineering. This book is a classic example of political agenda distorting science AND religion. Race is more than a social construct as any liberal knows down deep below their skin. They know it when it comes to identifying who should and who should not benefit from affirmitive action. They know it when creating application forms for job and university applications that ask what race an individual is. They know it when creating immigration laws based on race. Get it? If there is no such thing as race, there is no need for any race-based policies.Montagu did not support Man's Most Dangerous Myth with evidence. His arguements would have been stronger if he presented research to the contrary and proved it wrong. In stead, Most Dangerous seems to be an opinion piece. When discussing traits and stereotypical characteristics of people, he fails to see how foolish his arguement actually is. How do members of a race or ethnic group display certain behavioral and physical characteristics even when they live in disparate locations where environments are completely different in terms of climate, religion, culture, etc? Must be more than social conditioning, eh?Although scientific study on race has been censored and curtailed by our left-leaning, open-minded universities, research continues to prove the fallacy of the impact of environment as the primary influence on intelligence and behavior. If fact, it is widely known that race indeed does exist and that differences in individuals and groups are primarily due to DNA and genetics. Political correctness is a social construct, not race.Montagu's book was authored at the right time and right place. A world devastated by war and massive atrocities committed against mankind. It was a beautiful concept to invest in the idea of unity of man. Ultimately, utopia does not exist. As much as it hurts, the Bible clearly states that three races, Yaphet, Shem, and Chem, developed from Noah. Don't believe in God? Similarly, science has proven that three races, Caucasian, Mongoloid and Negroid developed tens of thousands of years ago as pre-human creatures evolved into man. As with all animal species, some are more developed than others.Man's Most Dangerous in certainly a historic landmark book. The validity of it's contents is blown out of the water by true science. It is an interesting read into the origns of social engineering, multi-culturalism and feminism, all of which have made this world worse off. How? They all go against nature and the will of God.
