Pretty good
You know how with some tapes you can retract it and you feel and hear the winding mechanism continue to spin inside the case? None of that crap here. The thumb lock clicks into place with satisfying firmness. The texture of the case is fairly "grippy" without making it impossible to remove from a pocket. I've never dropped it, but I've knocked it off my work surface a few times and it doesn't seem to care that it's fallen a few feet onto concrete so the durability seems to be there, at least for now. The markings are high vis and easy to read. Although I haven't use the magnet feature much, the magnets are reasonably strong. The belt clip is SUPER tight (almost frustratingly so haha) so it'll stay put.My favorite feature is the ability to just hang it off the end of a 2by and the weight of the tool keeps the tape taught, but it's not loose enough to fall (see pic). I do NOT have to lock it to do this so I don't have to fiddle with getting the right length. This makes it very easy to scribe a series of marks, but you do need to elevate your board off the floor at least a few inches. My only annoyance is that when set upright the tape doesn't extend straight out. It is angled up slightly (in the pics the tab at the end of the tape is directly above the screw). This means for short measurements I can't just extend, lock, and set it down because the tape being off the surface that far will throw off my marks.Despite that minor annoyance, for the money spent this is a solid, well built, and well designed tool.

Everything you'll want in a tape measure
I bought this 16ft Monster MagGrip to complement my 25 footer. I'm an electrician and I rarely require a 25ft tape measure, plus the 16 footer lightens the load on my tool belt.Prior to purchasing Komelon's line of tape measures, I along with every contractor used the ultra popular black/yellow Stanley. The problem with everyone having the same tape measure is that you can't tell which one is yours. Even if you etch your name onto it, it's always an awkward confrontation when trying to reclaim what someone else thinks is theirs. So I primarily purchased the Komelon because it stands out and (so far) prevents mistaken of ownership. Not only does it solve my dilemma, but it certainly doesn't compromise in quality. It's a solid build with aesthetics to match. Designed for maximum functionality, the oversized hooks on both sides ensures a tight grip the first time, every time. Additionally the powerful neodymium magnets embedded in the hook is very useful when working with or around metal objects (not advertised but its perfect for retrieving metal objects that may have fallen out of reach). Never thought I needed graduated markings on both sides of the tape but now I can't imagine using a tape measure without it. The one thing the Stanley has over the Komelon is that the Stanley's tape is wider and constructed from a heavier gauge, which means it can 'stand-out' (maybe 5ft) further before folding, but the drawback is a much heavier tape measure. In conclusion, I'm absolutely pleased with this product...but my only concern is that others will catch on to how great it is and soon it'll be everywhere.

Small size, light weight and smooth pull while sturdy.
My favorite brand of tape-measure.Perfect size for women. I work with tape measures every day and this one is way better of a fit in my hand than any of the popular brands. Most little ones are cheap. This one is sturdy.

Great but no heavy duty
I purchased this measuring tape to use at a jobsite. As a superintendent I don't do much physical work but mostly field verifying. The tape works great in distances between up to 12FT vertically and 8FT horizontally. The tape will bend at any distance beyond. The measuring tape body itself is comfortable and the lock slide operates very smoothly.Overall I am a happy with the productPROS_Smooth lock tab that does not require your entire thumb strength_Magnetic end makes it very easy to measure to steel framing. I've found the magnets can hold the weight of the tape itself._The plastic tape protection does add to the longevity of the tape_The belt clip is nice and strongCONS_The magnets can sometime catch steel dust and offset your end._Not as heavy duty as a Fat Max_The tape end tabs on the side will makes it hard to take short dimensions on walls._The tape end has no hole to lock to a drywall screw.

Excellent Tape Measure
I purchased one of these in a store several years ago and wore it out. I couldn’t find a replacement at the store so ordered two through Amazon. Love the magnet at the end when measuring longer distances. It has a nice compact size and smooth action. Highly recommend this product.

BY FAR The Best Tape Measure I Have Used
I would normally never comment on a tape measure. They are a dime a dozen commodity product, and the high end ones are all of similar quality. To my surprise, this unit is by far the best of over 15 tape measures I have used. The features that stand out for me:- The magnet on the end of the tape is brilliant, and it is STRONG. I was able to place this on my refrigerator, pull out 23 feet away and then pull hard on the magnet without it giving in.- The tape itself is a thicker gauge of steel than what I have seen on other measures. I was able to pull out eight feet and have it just stay relatively straight out without bending.- The outside of the unit has rubber bumpers, which make it easy to grip but also pad it against hard knocks.Really just a superb product, and Komelon just went from no-name in my mind to high quality.

Good stuff
Lightweight, compact, holds on to my toolbelt well, it has a magnetic tip. What more can I say, it checks all the boxes for me as a framer.

A really good tape measure....
Good alround tape measure - just too bad that it's has imperial measuring scale only - why not metric? Good but I'm going to have to return it for a imperial and metric scale tape.
