In the Forest (National Geographic Kids Readers, Level 1/Co-Reader)

Thus is a great book. It's fun and educational. My son loves it. I highly recommend.

We used it at our library on a table with our science boards. A big hit! The older kids read it and the littles loved the pictures.

My kinder-bears are loving this book as we research the forest biome. They are matching the animals to the ones in the book and loving this early exposure to nonfiction.

See what kinds of things are going on in the forest through all four seasons. This is designed for a beginning reader to read with a more advanced reader. Text on the left pages is longer and has harder vocabulary, text on the right pages is brief and easy. This provides a good survey of life in a temperate forest through all four seasons with very nice photographs to compliment the text.

This is a great series of informational books for Second Grade research and reading
