Our planet is becoming a tragic wasteland due to non biodegradable products. For whatever reason the government will not impose mandates to large grocery manufacturers or supermarkets on all types of packaged items. I have used this modified "baggie" and love it. I can always rely on Amazon to provide what I need.

Compostable with a caveat
When I bought these I didn’t realize they are only commercially compostable. So I can’t compete them in my home composter which is a huge bummer. It does say it on the box you just have to zoom in on the picture.

Personally, I bought this because I like to make a big batch of homemade popcorn at the beginning of the week and put it in sandwich bags to bring to work for the week. I feel guilty using and throwing away that many plastic bags. With my normal bags, the popcorn would be a LITTLE stale by Friday. With these bags, the popcorn was very stale already the next day. They would be fine for a daily sandwich, maybe, but I don’t see them keeping food fresh for any length of time. I’ll use them for “day-of” lunches until they’re gone and get some reusable ones for my popcorn.
