Genex Selenium 300mcg | 90 Capsules

Selenium is important for the conversion of the Thyroid hormone T4 to T3. I used to take 200mgs, but have decided to up my game to this 375 version to see if I get any improvement in my Thyroid health. I've read where one needs to take E along with Selenium. Who knows if any of this information is the truth. I just want to feel good and have more energy since coming down with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.

I waited to review until after I had finished the entire bottle of capsules. The product seemed very good. I just didn’t notice any changes or effects. Might be worth a try for others, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again.

This is one of those things where you may not be able to tell if it’s doing anything or not…. Here’s the thing though, if you have a low functioning thyroid and are afraid of going on the meds because of the side effects that can come with them….then you may find that it’s better to take this than to not take it. Just in case it helps, even a little. Plus, it’s good for circulation and may help with other things as well. All of that while being pretty affordable. Yes, there are cheaper options….but I like this one well enough to stick with it.

I read an article in a medical journal that suggested some supplements for patients with Multiple Myeloma. I am such a patient. One of the supplements was selenium. I have been taking selenium for a few months now. I had my stem cell transplant on June 7, 2012. I celebrated my 10th anniversary this past June. The remarkable thing about that is that the prognosis is five years following the transplant!! I have doubled the expected life span!! In case you don't know, multiple myeloma is cancer of the bone marrow and it is incurable but treatable.This Genex Selenium 300mcg is easy to swallow as it is a tiny capsule. I know it isn't the reason for my long life, but I plan to continue using it. I'll do anything to keep my body going. I have one son and he and I live together so I want to live for him. He left his career in Florida to move back home with me when I was diagnosed with this cancer. He sacrificed a lot for me so I want to stay around and this supplement just may help me do so. I do recommend it.

I use this product as an antioxidant and for my immune system.

This is easy to take and is a good value! I use this as a co-supplement to my iodine, and it works well.
