GPO Trim Phone, Push Button Retro Landline Corded Telephone, Authentic Bell Ring for Home, Hotels-(Mustard)

Retro cool. Had a good few comments about its great look to boot. Well chuffed.

It worked the first time I used it but then a few minutes after I hung up a loud siren alarm emanated from the phone. I tried multiple times to 'hang up' / disconnect the call but to no avail. I had no choice but to unplug the phone and send it back.

I bought two of these a red one and the mustard but I also have the black one as well and I bought all three because they were capable of the new digital network and I don't have a mobile phone yet and I had a analogue trim which wasn't digital enabled and I was having major trouble with the analogue and digital change and I didn't want a phone with all the bells and whistles I just wanted a plain no nonsence phone I can easily use.

The original trimphone was a statement departure from the standard GPO handset, this product in my opinion is more "form over function". The design is still iconic but the functionality in this is disappointing. The sound quality is just average, the volume control (2 position) is limited and the difference barely noticeable (so why bother) and the ringer switch is either on or off. When on it is VERY intrusive and should be variable - when off how would you know anyone was calling you? (a flashing light perhaps). A missed opportunity and no improvement over the original. However the colour fits with the decor........

Great reminder of the 1970s trim phone

I liked the phone and colour, only I did want the colour blue but it was not available. But pleased with my phone it brings back memories.
