Very very entertaining
This friends to lovers historical romance is filled with so much drama...the angst of unrequited love, scorching hot illicit passions, loads of fun and mischief, heartbreak & misunderstanding fuelled by miscommunication and a healthy dose of abandonment issues has led to the perfect combination that ensnares readers from the very first page.

Enjoyable read!
Another lovely story full of warmth, laughter, as well as vulnerability of the heart. As always with this series, the other characters are equally important and add so much to the story. This series is like a novel with every story interlinked with another. I am loving it!

Superb
Just loved reading it as always. This book was too good. Bonnie's emotions made me teary. Enjoyed reading her story a lot. Also loved the way it gives glimpse of other girls stories. All are interesting and I am Eagerly waiting to read them. Feel sad for Matilda but I am glad she remains strong as self respect is more important than desire.

Read it, you won't regret it
Amazing - just like all the other books in this series. I expected to find Bonnie annoying but her love for Jerome and her strength in controlling her own destiny made her likeable and relatable. The two characters are both a bit reckless and wild but that's half the fun for most of the book. Without giving away too much their heartache made me cry (and I don't cry at books!) and reflected the soul deep change that occurs in us all at such an event. Wonderful, wonderful book, well written and relatable.

This is another example of brilliant writing
This is another example of a brilliantly crafted continuation of this series. The plot is full of emotional passages and some great twists and turns. The characters are wonderfully portrayed, and have some beautifully written problems to overcome. This book would suit all those that love steamy historical romances with plenty of surprises

Addictive series - come for Matilda, stay for the strong B-plot
Matilda. Matilda. Matilda. Lured in: hook, line and sinker. While all the girls who take dares are fantastic, and this is Bonnie's story, just one member of a great and realistic group of friends, it is the interweaving of Matilda and Montagu's story that keeps me coming back. The structural pillars of this series are very good and while there are a few little finishing issues here and there, the girls are all unique in their personalities and circumstances. The teasing out of Matilda's story across what looks like at least 10 books is very well done. Just the right amount of distance and heat. I hope she's saved something special for her book, as seeing Montagu's side of things might remove the mystery. Here's hoping not!The book could be read as a standalone, but I wouldn't recommend it. Read them in order. You need the history of characters such as Ruth, Minerva, Helena and Matilda to understand why they act as they do. Not much of Prue, Alice, Aashini or Kitty in this particular story, and we only get a few little teasers of the underdone Jemima. Bonnie is a fun character, as is Jerome, and I especially enjoyed that neither of these characters really follow the rules. Until they do. Just read the series and you'll get it. Ruth's story is next, and I look forward to seeing how the author will account for the distance issues that it presents her Peculiar Ladies.Thank you Ms Leech, for giving me yet another way to procrastinate and get nothing done.
