O'NEILL Women's Basic Skins UPF 50+ Long Sleeve Rash Guard

My husband and I took surf lessons in Cancun a few years ago and I bought a rash guard of a different name brand with half sleeves (just above the elbow). The whole time I found myself wishing I had bought a long sleeved one instead. When you're paddling, the place where your arm meets the board is where a majority of the friction occurs and with the salt water is got to be torture after an hour or so. If you are searching for a rash guard for the purposes of surfing, I cannot recommend buying long sleeves enough!! My husband and I are going surfing again in Hawaii next month and I didn't want a repeat of Mexico so I bought this. First I was very pleased to find that the medium actually fit me really well! In the other name brand I had to send back two and size WAY up before I got one that fit, and even then it was pretty tight. I am small chested with a long torso, broad shoulders, hourglass waist and disproportionately large hips. I normally wear size medium in tops so I was very pleased to find that this was true to size and extremely comfortable! It's also long enough in the arms and torso which is something I struggle with in tops in general. The quality is very good and it looks cool on. I used it last weekend while white water rafting the snake river and it was perfect! It dries very fast and isn't too hot even though it's black and long sleeved and I find this one doesn't roll up at the bottom on me like my other one did. I highly recommend for outdoor adventure women!

Very comfortable, great value, plus sun protection!

I bought this top for an upcoming water park day to protect against sunburns. Normally I wear a normal swimsuit top with sunscreen, but even with diligent reapplication of sunscreen every 2 hours, I usually get slight sunburn on the tops of my shoulders and neck. Using this top prevented all sunburns for a full day at the water park, which was amazing.The sizing is a little on the small size. I am 5'2," 114lbs and I usually fit a size small in tops and small just fit. I tried the medium, but it was a little too big in the sleeves and armpit area.

This is a really good rash guard. I usually wear a medium (I'm 36D-DD), sometimes a large, but I decided to keep the large. The medium was too tight at the shoulders and elbows to be comfortable for swimming. The medium wasn't that tight through the chest, it has a lot of stretch. The fabric is a nice weight and seems like high quality. It has side seaming which pulls the waist in a bit. The pink was a really nice true, bright fuchsia, it looks more purple in some of the pictures then in person. I took off one star because I often wear petite (I'm 5'2") and the sleeves are a little long, but not too bad. I wear a lightly padded tankini top underneath for support and modesty. I'm not crazy about wearing branded products, I always feel like they should pay me an advertising fee. But I will say that the printing is nicely done, not that big, and gives interest to what would otherwise be a plain front. I didn't find it to hard to remove when wet, but I did allow it to dry a little first. The neckline isn't that high, just enough to give coverage from the sun. I would prefer a partial or full zipper so I could adjust for comfort, and for ease of getting on and off. Only having worn it once, I can't speak to how it will wear. Love that is has an SPF 50 built in. Not sure how long the SPF will last, but the fabric is thick enough for sun protection either way. Overall I would say this is a great product, and I would consider getting one in another color.

I am 5"4" , 122lbs, 34B and ordered size Medium. The fit is fitted but not too tight. I can probably fit in a small but will be snug which is how you're suppose to wear a rash guard. But I wanted to it to be a little loose so I picked size Medium. The material is nice and thick (not the thin see through kind). Color is a dark pink, not neon which might look like it from the picture. The length is on the longer side which covers my belly and does not ride up in the water. I like this product and recommend it.

Everything its perfect, just size up ! I'm 5'7 36B long torso 155lbs. I'm normally a size S or M. I size up after reading the reviews, size L fits perfect !!

Love the color - pink. So people want to know how this fits. I'm 5'9. 150 lbs. 30 inch waist and I wear a size 10. I ordered an XL. It is tight. Not so tight I'm going to return, but there is nothing extra about the shirt. I have a long john wet suit I'm going to wear under it and I'm pretty certain you are going to see every line because right now you see everything else. I don't think you want loose in a rash guard because it defeats the purpose. If anything this shirt will force me to get rid of the 5lbs I need to lose! Otherwise the sizing charts I have found for this product aren't exactly correct. I think XL was supposed to fit a size 12-14. Not even close. Still love the color and style; I'll just have to get used to skin tight.1/6/13 Just an update to my review. I wore this pretty much every day in Belize on an 8 day trip and I loved it. I actually wore it under the long john wet suit and it kept me warm, but not too warm. I see now why the shirt needs to be tight. It did not slow me down in the water like loose fitting shirts did with other people. Really my only complaint would be I didn't buy enough of these! It also prevented me from sun burning and I didn't have to put on sunscreen on my arms, which I'm allergic to.

I am 5.1' ,120 lbs and 37" chest; I bought a large and it fits me very well. The fabric seems to be durable, yet incredibly soft against the skin. What I love most about this rash guard is its versatility. It can be worn on its own for sun protection and comfort, or as a layer underneath a wetsuit for added warmth and insulation in cooler waters.

Este fue un regalo para una mujer de 1.58 cm y 52 kg, y aunque le queda bien la talla CH y solo si quiere algo holgado se va por la talla M, solicite la talla M y le entró muy justa hasta le tuve q ayudar, por lo que hubiera preferido talla G para que no le quedará tan justa, lo malo que la M era la del descuento.

Excelente calidad y muy bonita

Hice caso a las recomendaciones y pedí una talla más grande que la talla que siempre uso y me quedó super bien, así que recomiendo que pidan una talla más de la que en verdad son. La compré para surfear y es muy cómoda y buena, se seca demasiado rápido a mi parecer y es super fácil de lavar, verdaderamente la recomiendo si se practica algún deporte acuático.

Fit perfectly - true to size. It didn’t stretch out when wet and dries quickly.
