Age Of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties - Expansion Pack

Following are the great things about the game:~ Continues to have the same kind of detail level that made AOE III so popular. At some points it is even better~ Buildings are more detailed and its nice to see that the details behind the architecture have been looked into. The buildings in the Indian campaign is really nice!~ The theme music has been nicely mixed to include Indian instruments such as the Sitar and Tabla. That was a pleasant surprise~ Campaigns are just about the right length. They have not been made unnecessarily long.~ Faster loading timesCons:~ For the Mac version, it hangs at times and at those times, there is no other option but to do a Force Quit~ It takes a while (sometimes) for the system to understand that the objective has been met.Overall, this game lives up to the standards that have been set by its predecessors. Give it a 4 star overall.

I loved playing this game on my dumpy old PC. I love it even more on my shiny Mac. Playing as the Asian civilizations is a lot of fun. Samurais still kick ass for those of you who played AOE 2. Love the additional maps as well

The Asian Dynasties is a great addition to Age of Empires III. The Indian, Japanese, and Chinese cultures are fun to play. The shoguns of Japan add another level of flexibility not present in the European cultures, and I really enjoyed being able to crank out a separate army in a remote location for a pincer movement that crushes opponents with an attack from two directions simultaneously.

This is the item we ordered and it is the item listed on our package receipt, but instead we received Age of Empires Mythology. Our grandson opened it before we realized the mistake and he is enjoying the game, but would be nice to receive what we actually ordered. This Christmas there were 3 items from Amazon that did not fit the descriptions of the item we orderdered

I PURCHASED THIS GAME BECAUSE I ASSUMED THAT IT WAS "DIFFERENT" FROM THE ORIGINAL AGE OF EMPIRES III THAT I HAVE AND ENJOY.UNFORTUNATELY 90% OF THIS GAME IS EXACTLY LIKE THE ORIGINAL, WITH LITTLE VARIATION.

Well I was about to install the Asian Dynasties on my Mac when I noticed that the installer was looking for the original AOE III, but there isn't any specification here at the page that mentions that this is a must to install Asian Dynasties, so now can't play it.

what I expected

Awesome add on. New civilizations are really fun. Really detailed maps too. Adds some new home city cards and cool things like "wonders" you can build. I like this one much better than War chiefs.

When's the next installment?

Great story mode but skirmish options are very limited. Graphics look very dated by todays standards. Gameplay is still great and It is worth the money.
