Hoping a large National senior group of which I am a part..will buy many books and bring them to a senior center… give to leaders in that center who will identify seniors who will read to 5-10 children and then give it away to a child to keep! children can convince their parents in subtle ways..Would you like to donate10-100 books for my idea connected to the NYS Alliance for Retired Americans????I’m a chapter President..Karen Wojcik-Hess

Have you ever come across a book that made you #stopdropandread? I was just so excited when I found out that Bill McKibben, renowned environmentalist and climate author had written a picture book that I could barely contain myself. Did I make my husband and two children listen while I read it aloud in the car? Yes. Did we read it again at bedtime so they could all fully appreciate the illustrations? Also yes. This book is nothing but indoctrinating kids into the idea that anyone who creates or uses power is bad. It shows adults on bikes and explains how they are saving the world. It doesn’t explain that solar and wind cannot power a country and our enemies abroad have no intentions of torpedoing their economy for climate virtue.Get your kid a book on nuclear power if you want them to know how to save the Earth from carbon emissions. This is just communist nonsense disguised in pretty pictures of good vibes. The people who actually keep the world running are called “greedy and reckless.”
