Great product!
I've used several boxes of these now, and the quality is always great. The needles are very fine, so there is less pain when you're testing your blood sugar. Out of hundreds of these, I've only had 1 defective needle. The needle pulled out of the holder when I tried to remove the cap. No big deal. I highly recommend this brand.

Genuine Lancets
These are exactly the same ones my wife was buying direct from Genteel. Very reasonably priced for 100 pcs. Over 1 year remains on the exp date (not sure why these would even need an exp date). Maybe after exp Date the plastic becomes brittle, who knows.

Painless as possible.
Fairly hard to learn to use properlyDirection said don't press down hard but you have to press pretty hard to get it to work. Was not happy in the beginning but after much practice I like it. Suction makes it possible to punch small hole and get bloodHurts some but painless as possible.

Painless!!!
Prior to trying these I preferred to use the 33 gauge lancets. They were the least painful option I could find...until these. When used together with the Genteel Plus lancing device, it really is painless. I would highly recommend.

Genteel has ruined their product with lancet redesign
Unbelievable. The wonderful Genteel butterfly lancets that perfectly fit the Genteel lancing device have been "redesigned". They no longer work in the device.IMAGE: new design on the left; old design on the right1) The plastic shaft now uses less plastic and is slightly narrower than the old lancet so that it no longer fits snugly. It is loose. When removing the plastic lancing device clear plastic shield to access the lancet, the lancet falls off onto the floor.2) Because the shaft is now too narrow and is loose in the device, when you activate the lancing device to get a blood sample, the lancet does not retract back like it is supposed to (because it is loose) and because there now is a disk shaped design to the needle end of the lancet, this blocks visibility of the blood sample area so you cannot see if the sample is a of adequate size and how long to hold the vacuum in place. This is one of the huge advantages of the Genteel device - you can see what you are getting.3) The "cap" on the needle is much smaller now and attached to the shaft not with friction anymore, but now by plastic tabs that must be broken with a twist. This more forceful action often slightly bends the needle on cap removal.4) Because the "cap" is now so thin, it no longer makes a very good item to stick a used lancet needle into to help safely remove a used needle from the lancing device and getting it to your sharps container. More stick danger when changing lancets.5) the packaging now is bare lancets in a cardboard box with no plastic bag to protect from storage dust and dirt, either in seller's storage areas or your home area. Not good for a "sterile" device.6) the support telephone number of the company printed on the old boxes is no longer valid. The new boxes have no number.I am astounded by the redesign where they have taken a product that worked so well and basically ruined it. I have two Genteel lancing devices which are VERY expensive and this redesign has made them essentially useless. The company's email support however is superlative and they are working hard to fix the problem. I continue to support this company and their great lancing device. I would recommend however that they return to the old lancet design.

Not entirely painless, but close
I'm a T2D newbie. These are the most gentle lancers I've come across for my twice-daily glucose check. They are not entirely painless, but very close and Im no longer scared to test. I will never be without.
