Uncover a T-Rex: An Uncover It Book Board book – January 1, 2003

This is a really well done idea - each turn of the page reveals different parts of a T-rEX - musculatory, skeleton, digestive, skin, etc. in 3D and in color. And yes, it is very speculative due to what we do know about dinosaurs. Plus, each page has fascinating facts about dinos and their biology. Just keep in mind for inquisitive hands that the pieces cannot be removed from the book - they are not made to be assembled separately but only for show within the pages.I would rate this a 5 star but for two detractions: a) the books in this series ges dented and marked very easily on the outside corners (looks worn and well used after a few days) and b) the T-Rex parts in 3D are very cheap and thin plastic that almost feel like they'd break if you breathed on them.

My son is crazy about dinosaurs - especially T-Rex - and this book was a great find. It is really well designed to show you about the different body systems within a T-Rex with useful comparisons to other animals. Very interesting and kept my kid interested and engaged. We come back to it frequently!

My six year old son loves this book! He already has numerous dinosaur books that cover various facts about dinosaurs. However, this is the only one that teaches about the body. It is a great tool to teach about anatomy. Each layer focuses on a different part of the body (skin, skeleton, organs etc.).The book is slightly fragile and probably could get damaged if it were not handled with care. I certainly keep it away from my toddler. However, it is fantastic for a child who is ready to learn about the body and knows the proper way to treat books.Uncover T-Rex is part of a series. So, you can choose the book that best suits your child's interests. For example, my son loves dinosaurs. However, you might choose one of the other "Uncover It" books if your child loves horses, sharks, dogs, or different animals.

The book was pretty beaten up around the edges. Does not look new.

Educational and beautiful

I love this book! It is not good for children who are hard on books or still very young because some of the plastic parts are very thin and easily broken. Each page is informative about the different systems of the t-rex (i.e. vascular system, muscles, intestines, etc.) and shows a cross section of the system being described in the middle of the page in plastic. Each system stacks up to make a t-rex at the end. It is such a cool book and the other uncover series are equally amazing. Well worth the buy for any dinosaur lover in your life.

This book is very interesting, childrens love it (even my younger one who is almost 2 years-old) but the copy I received (when I got it out of the box): had the corners folded and in three pages, the thin plastic that holds T-rex organs were broken. I had to glue them with a little drop of glue and everything is fine now.

This is a great book. Very visually appealing and really great information.

Ordered a copy of this, it arrived damaged and with sticker residue all over it.Got a FOC replacement - worse damage than the first and half the pages have their respective model sections broken.Poor quality product that's clearly not being quality controlled by Amazon or any of their staff.Save your money and buy a toy dinosaur instead.

Good concept, ive always wanted a book like this as ive come across anataomy of different animals but was in another language so gave this a go!However..... Says its new but had all nasty dirt prints on the hard cover....Certain pieces was snapped inside and amazon refuses to let me post this as this is my 3rd attempt to post a review

This product arrived very late with damage to the outer page. There was some loose parts to the book. I'm disappointed with the quality of this book

The book is great, unfortunately not up to standard. However I cannot fault the customer service I received they were extremely helpful and quick to respond

fantastic book! bought for my son, who is mad about dinosaurs. This book is so different, entertaining, full of facts. I love the way you can un-cover the layers of the dinosaur a page at a time. It never gets boring, a bit of history combined with science- the ultimate way to be educated! It is a fairly large book-but I think thats a plus side, any kid would love it.
