In the past, trying to get my kids to understand the value of money and urging them to develop the proper habits was incredibly frustrating. I did not know how to present these concepts in a simple, relatable way and my kids just zoned out most of the time. After reading this book and seeing how the author laid out the information in such an intuitive way, I made it a goal to read through it with my kids each night. I was surprised at how they were genuinely engaged and asked really great questions! This simple yet thoughtful book has really captured my kids' attention and as a family, we now have a set of guidelines that we apply to our everyday lives. I'm a little ashamed to admit, but adults can benefit from this book too. If your upbringing was anything like mine where mom and dad generally did not teach you anything about how to handle money other than to tell you to save, this book is for you! Spare your kids a future of financial ignorance and let them see money for what it is so they can make it work for them instead of the other way around!

The age estimates are off..
I only lowered it to a 4 star for one reason. There are 2 different spots on the listing where the recommended age range for readers are listed. There are 2 different age groups recommend. My 8 year old is in advanced reading levels for her age and she struggled with this to the point where one of us had to read with her. She understood all the concepts with no problem, but the book was above that of a 8 year old, even one reading above their level. Might need to bump it up to a 11 or 12 year old as bottom age range. In fairness the book was excellent itself, just age recommendation is off.

Fantastic introduction to Personal Finance for older kids
This book explains basic and intermediate concepts of personal finance, economics, and good money management habits in a way that is relatable to kids. My seven year old son was really able to understand and graphs the concepts, and really enjoyed the characters and the examples in the book.

Some of the information is a bit dated, but it's easy to read and is a good introduction to thinking about finances for kids. My daughter really seems to like it.
