Works Really Well :)
Hadn't heard of using this kit for parts removal until recently (I no longer earn my living in electronics) but tried it on a home project and it works really well. Very quickly loosens up the old solder and stays liquid long enough to easily lift off the old part without damaging the board. A little bit of the solder goes a long way. The included flux also cleans up quick with a q-tip and alcohol. A really nice idea!

Clean as a whistle
So, my Whirlpool refrigerator stopped defrosting. The board needed replacing. Not so fast. I found out that I could replace one relay on that board. So that's what I did. Almost $500 for the new board. A few dollars for the relay. And this product made removing the solder much easier. If you have a suction cup Sider remover, use it. It worked well. Softened the existing solder and made it very easy to remove.

Will desolder anything
Pros:- Only need to use a small amount at a time- Very low melting point- Easy to useCons:- Gauge is too thick for fine soldering. It looks like it's not much but its actually a decent amount. You use very little to desolder so this will last you a while. If you're having trouble with high silver type solder, this is your solution! Works great on Nintendo PCBs.

I wish the diameter of the strips was thinner
The stuff is great. I just wish there was a thinner option for this type of low melt. Solder. Before I even know it, I would have a big ball on the end of my soldering iron. But it does melt very quickly.

Works perfectly to remove SMD
It works!!! Thanks to a Youtube video of a guy that makes board repairs for a living, he explains why a soldering station is needed for SMD. His explanation was because he does that for a living. So, the soldering station provides efficiency on his day because we all know that time is money. However, for us occasional hobbyist and/or DIY home repair guys, there is no need for soldering station. What we need is SMD de-soldering alloy. So, I decided to venture and I had great success using this alloy. Simple, fast, easy, and effective.

You do not need to use very much
This stuff works like a charm. For amateurs like me, I recommend you watch several youtube videos on how to use it. You do not need very much. It is messy so be ready for some cleanup (unless you are a pro at this). I would practice a few times if you can - but be patient, it works.

Worked great to remove a 54 and 144 pin SDM with just a soldering iron.
The flux is excellent and the wire melts and mixes with higher temp solder very well. Big chips come off the board very easily, with no damage to the board or surrounding components.
