We like this for taking our indoor cat outside with us for fresh air. All four sides expand, so there is actually quite a lot of room in it - ample for having a dish of water and a small bowl of food. It is attractive and well made - I have never felt that she would be able to damage the carrier or get out. It's easy to carry, since it has short straps to hand carry, a shoulder strap, and a band that will fit over the handle of a rolling suitcase or carry-on bag. It has a couple pockets for items you might need if you're going to be traveling, and a tether for a lead. But it isn't perfect. The things we don't like about it is that when it is all zipped up (not expanded), the cat can't see out of the sides. Also, the 'floor' doesn't have a sturdy, flat surface - it has a tendency to sort of fold up around the cat. We took a platform from an old carrier and put it in (since it is a fairly standard size when not expanded), and this helped a lot. Our cat didn't like the plush cushiony insert (she's weird), so we took that out - it is velcroed into place so it's easy to remove and wash it. But when it's out, the screened sides that expand push in and crowd the cat. We solved this problem by putting velcro in to hold them up - but this is an issue the manufacturer should try to resolve.

Easy to use

I used this carrier to fly with my cat. It's quite heavy for a soft carrier, although it is understandable due to the size and material. I own a lighter soft carrier, but it is not as durable as this one, and would not hold a large cat like this one does. So it's very durable and can hold a large cat. It fits under an aeroplane seat just about (we flew on Finnair Airbus A319-112). You need to press down with surprisingly lot of force to be able to bend the frame, which you might need to do to get it to fit under a seat. The height of this carrier (28cm) is more than the airline officially allowed (23cm). Being able to expand any side is great, because I could expand the end during the flight to give more room for my cat.It has two nicely sized pockets on the side, and one full-width mesh pocket at the end with a zipper. The zipper pocket is the most secure place for your pet's travel documents. It also has a strap that ables you to transport the carrier on your suitcase (but if your pet moves around it might fall to one side!)If you have a big cat, like I do, I recommend not putting anything in the pockets and taking off the shoulder strap for weighing at the airport to get it to meet the weight requirement. We did just about.I've also used the carrier to hold two of my cats simultaneously with all sides expanded to prevent them from escaping while I've needed to keep the front door of my apartment open. With all sides expanded on the floor, the carrier easily holds two cats (so long as they get along). Would not recommend doing this for a prolonged time, but if you need to prevent your cats from running off for 10 minutes, it's ideal. In an emergency (say, fire, and I had to flee with the cats), I think the carrier would hold two average sized cats even in normal carrier mode.Overall a solid product, would recommend.

My cat nearly escaped as she ripped netting on first outing. Hence 2 stars. Otherwise liked the pockets and was lightweight for travel with comfy shoulder strap.

I did measure this out before I bought it but I found it small for my very big cat. I was hoping I could fit a litter tray and water in it when the flaps are open but I will not be able to do that. It is a handy cat carrier none the less, and my cat is less upset in it as it is more comfortable. I would be afraid a cat/dog could bite through it, if left on it's own for too long. But I am not going to let this happen!

The Estarer Pet Carrier is actually perfect for my small Jack Russell Remi. Its snug, but thats all you need for travelling. You can also unzip all 4 sides down, tripling the floor space of the bag.She is quite a petite Jack Russell so I would say this bag suits small, terriers, pug, Chihuahua size dogs and small cats. The material looks very durable; double zipped, wipe clean liners and lots of pockets for puppy paraphernalia. The handles are strong and there is a padded shoulder strap.I photographed the carrier sat in a regular sized family car. It feels the seat perfectly. It also fits longways on the backseat. I look forward to lots of trips with my little dog and her new carrier bag. Thank you Estarer!

Easy to open the extensions. Easy to carry. Not super sturdy bottom but does the job. It is airline approved but not by all airlines so do check.A bit on the heavier side but good for several purposes. Very good for the car since you can pass the seatbelt through and it has a hook for the harness.Overall very good
