Very nice but 1 huge flaw
This product seem to be very durable and also makes the gopro look even cooler imo. However an issue I have is that, it's not a perfect fitment. When I put the gopro in, there's a bit of play. I can adjust that with the screw to make it a tight fit, however I can tell that the lens has a bit of space on the right hand side. The first time I put my Gopro in, I saw a small black area on the upper left corner of the camera, which is showing a part of the UV lens. Also, if I attach my polarized 52mm, the upper left corner looks even worse and shows more because my 52mm lens has a slightly bigger shroud than the stock UV lens that comes with the kit.I was able however for the most part remove most of the blackish part on the upper left corner by adjusting the Gopro in the metal cage. But still no luck with my personal 52mm, it somewhat worked with the UV lens because the shroud was slightly smaller. Overall, I think to fix this issue fully, they would need to make the lens area at least 55mm. It works in protecting my camera and I was able to minimize the black spot. But that one issue is enough to make this product a 3-stars.

Rough and tough, but weighs a TON
I make motovlog videos while doing pretty intense adventure rides, and after a decent low side that dented the corner of my Hero 8 lens, I knew it was time to find some protection. The Gurmoir case is absolutely perfect in almost every way. Let me explain...Fit- With the tensioning screw on the left side of the case, the camera fits secure and snug.Protection- Basically everything you could ask for while keeping all functions of the gopro accessible.Weight- Here’s the only drawback. It weights a TON. Like I can literally feel the difference with my helmet on. Now I get it, ya gotta give a little to get a lot, and I can deal with the weight, but it’s substantial. If you’re just carrying the camera around or setting it up for normal vlogging it wouldn’t make a difference, but when you’re running it on a 3.5lb Klim helmet, you WILL feel the weight of it.Lastly, you can run 52mm lenses which is awesome! I purchased some cheap ND filters on eBay (literally the cheapest set available) Some have remarked about vignetting while running the 52mm filters, but I have zero at all. Literally perfect field of view

Great case
I use this case for recording on my dirt track car. It works good, but doesn’t quite tighten down enough, just a touch loose. It’s fine for what I need it for since the car is bouncing around a lot anyway.Another complaint is that the plastic piece that goes against the screw between the camera doesn’t stay glued on. Easy fix but it happened at the track andWe didn’t have any glue. Added super glue to the list of trailer supplies though.

super sturdy case with some improvement to be made
This was the most sturdy, heavy case I ever encounter in Gopro casing.Very good look and thick metal protection allaround, you can definitely ensure of your Hero8's protection from unforeseen fall or accident.few things, I didn't likethe rear door locking mechanism wasn't fail safe, when this item falls off in great speed it will protect the Hero8 but back door will fall out because of poor locking. Also no microphone adopter placement for Vlogging only hero7 case has adopter case available.

heavy, but very sturdy
went skiing with it on my helmet mount, was very sturdy, but because it was heavy you have to make sure the mounting screw is on tight. It does through your balance a bit off also. All that said, was very well made.
