I am involved in the fascinating world of eBusiness and this book was exceptionally an eye opener related to the most "obscure" and intriguing element of any modern business:What to do with all the information and data evacuated from processes and operations?Mr Turban et all. Makes a clear vision and magnificent examples of how to dig in and extract diamonds from piles of raw data. It is well known that the IT management needs a good SCM, a superb ERP and excel CRM systems but Without an strong building of Business Intelligence systems, none of the later would matter.A must book about this subject.

I am compelled to give a review because it is exceptionally written, and this is the first time ever I gave a review for a book. I strongly recommend this book for those who want to understand several terminologies in Data Analysis, Business Analysis, and Intelligence and how they are interrelated. The flow of the book, case studies, and other content is very well written. Thanks to the authors

There is no doubt this is a textbook. But, due to the freshness of the topic, it incorporates a lot of recent trends in the BI industry. It is definitely only an introductory text, but I enjoyed it more than most textbooks.

I had to purchase this book for class and it will be one that I keep for years. The info in this book is very accurate and crucial to know when going into the business world. I don't plan on buying newer editions seeing how its chapters are just switched around and current company examples are used.

It is a good book, it would be better if it would actually have more directions on how to use different basic programs

The book has a couple of very good cases. I recall reading this at the beach in September during a course, it was a nice read.

Comprehensive and easy book. A good introduction and basic reference book for Business Intelligence and Data Mining. A Business perspective.

Na klar, wusste ich, dass ich nicht das neuste Exemplar kaufen würde. Aber für die heutige Zeit ist dieses Buch einfach nicht mehr zugebrauchen. Viele wichtige Kapitel fehlen hier noch. Für die Uni empfehle ich also mindestens die vorletzte Edition.
