Orchid Nerd ™ Orchid Seedling Potting Mix by Waldor Orchids for Young Plants and Keiki's Contains Bark Charcoal Perlite and Coconut Husk (Cymbidium Orchid Potting Mix)

My little grocery store orchid - that used to bloom like crazy - was starting to die. Some of the roots looked black. I replanted in a larger pot with this mix (careful to leave the roots that were in the air still in the air). My plant is very happy! While the original stem appears beyond saving, it grew a new one and is blooming again (even while its 7*, windchill -7*). I’ve had this for over a year, and this is by far the longest I’ve ever been able to keep a plant alive.

The profit margin on this stuff must be enormous. I bought it because I needed it right away. It came just as advertised. No complaints there. But $20 for three pounds of bark and perlite, etc. Way too expensive. I'd suggest shopping around for a better deal. A trip to your local nursery would probably be a good place to start.

The mix that I ordered was spot on. Arrived in a timely manner. My only complaint was cost!
