Verbatim 32GB Metal Executive USB 3.0 Flash Drive - Gold - 99105

I needed a relatively small flash drive that had a decent amount of space. This tiny, metal thumb drive is perfect! The metal housing is rugged and perfect for my applications. Transfer speeds are extremely fast, too. No complaints at all. Will likely buy more at some soon.

I got this to use as a server/storage device with my ROKU Ultra. It's a pretty good home media server holding movies, music, pictures, etc... Perfect for my needs and better than watching the same media via streaming (download once, watch whenever). This drive is very sturdy, easy to plug/unplug (from various devices), and while playing 4k content, does not generate extreme heat (laptop or Roku). No notable drops or issues with playback of any media. I thought 64GB was enough for my library but... I might have to "go big" in the future.

Update for the 32GB Gold 3.0 version: It gets warm to hot. Write speeds are decent whilst transferring files from PC. When done it was warm, but plugged into my car stereo for music playback, it got real hot. So I will not use this for that particular usage which I purchased it for. USB 2.0 version: Great for putting on your key chain for various things or for those older car stereo units that refuse to work with newer ones. Decently fast for small file transfers for work documents. Nice aluminum housing that seems it will outlast the plastic ones. Not had any issues with it so far.

I got this 32 GB flash drive for my Toyota. The onboard system only accepts 32 gig flash drives, nothing bigger. I listen to downloaded Youtube music, after converting the .mp4 files to .mp3 or, better, M4A apple sound files. Now I can plug in the flash drive and listen to my music while driving. I specifically got this metal casing USB because my old plastic 32 Gig USB was starting to have cracks. This new device is very small and very sturdy, easy to plug into the console.

It is a beauty and a marvel of engineering. Very small for the storage capacity. It has been working well for me with no problems - fast and efficient. The only down side is that it is rather expensive for the capacity, but I figure you have to pay for design and small physical size too. While this one is great but expensive, there are a lot of drives that Amazon is blithely selling that have similar or larger stated capacities for a fraction of the price. The difference is that this one is actually 64 GB while the cheap ones are maybe 16 GB even though they claim varying but huge fake capacities.

I missed the review which re-stated what the item's packaging apparently stated: you get only USB 2.0 speed if using Linux. I love the size, metal construction, and keyring hole. It works fine as a USB INSTALLER for Ubuntu Linux. But, I wanted to do a full Ubuntu installation TO a USB drive. While I DID succeed in doing so, Ubuntu ran so excruciatingly slowly as to be unusable. Doing the same install to a SanDisk Ultra Fit USB gave MUCH better results. You EXPECT sluggish performance when running Linux off a USB thumb drive, and the Verbatim was worse than sluggish. The Ultra Fit, OTOH, performed as well as an internal SSD. For general use, though, this little drive should satisfy most users.

Verbatim 98748 to prosty i solidny pendrive, który dzięki metalowej obudowie jest odporny na zarysowania i codzienne użytkowanie. Mimo że korzysta z USB 2.0, sprawdza się dobrze do przenoszenia dokumentów, zdjęć i podstawowych plików. Jego kompaktowy rozmiar sprawia, że łatwo mieści się w kieszeni, a metalowy korpus dodaje mu trwałości. Pendrive pewnie trzyma się w porcie USB i nie nagrzewa się nadmiernie podczas pracy. Ogólnie to niezawodne, wytrzymałe i niedrogie rozwiązanie do prostych zastosowań.

Top USB Stick sehr klein gut am Schlüsselbund tragbar. Sieht gut aus. Ist robust. USB 2.0 entsprechend langsam also nicht unbedingt für 4K Filme geeignet. Aber Office sehr gut.

Sehr guter kleiner robuster USB-Stick, der sich dank exFAT-Dateisystem zum Datenaustausch zwischen Windows und Mac hervorragend eignet. USB-Sticks aus Metall und Befestigungsmöglichkeit bevorzuge ich. Meine Rechner unterstützen derzeit nur USB 3-Standard und nicht den USB 3.2 vom USB-Stick, was den Datentransfer nicht wesentlich mindert. Bei mir ist der Stick weder heiß geworden, noch dauerte der Kopiervorgang Stunden. Sehr gutes Produkt.
