I have an autistic son who likes to get into things. I needed a way to lock out the basement valve that connects to the outside hose so that it could be left on, rather than shut off.This did the trick beautifully!

This product worked like it should. It was a bit bulky but it does the job. I added my own lock. I mainly wanted it because my valve on my gas meter is on the outside of fence, in the front of my home. Bought it for safety in case someone decided to do something funny. It's mostly plastic and yes it's able to be broken but that would take some effort. I would say it came with no instructions and it was a bit complicated to install. But after scratching my head a few times, I was able to get it to work.

Easy to install and will hopefully stop water being used at my winter home in Florida when we are away for the summer. My neighbor is having a major remodel project requiring the water to be turned off, and contractors sometimes look for the nearest spigot for water if not available on the worksite. Not saying all contractors will take water, but that's exactly what happened when the new house next-door to me was built.

Perfect solution for locking out the natural gas ball valve for my outdoor grill.

In my neighborhood with an HOA, landscapers will use any water spigot that is available, and not turn it off after use. This lock will keep them from using mine, even if I don't use a pad lock, just securing it with a zip tie. Having said that, even with a lock, the valve can be forced open as the plastic will give a bit, but I don't think landscapers will go to such lengths and risk getting into trouble. It is good enough for my purposes.

I like this product because it allows us to lock the 2" valve and securing it. It is easy to use and is light.
