Mountain Khakis Men's Granite Creek Short Relaxed Fit

I almost love these shorts. Yes they run a bit small in the waist compared to other brands. BUT I bet if you actually measured your waist you'd find the sizing is more accurate. My only real complaint is the single rear pocket location, it's on the right butt cheek. Since most of us are right handed it seems to make more sense to access a wallet, phone, etc with our non-dominant hand and keep the dominant hand free. For ccw iwb, carry at the 4-5 o'clock position renders the rear-right pocket useless. They do dry quickly and do not stain easily. I have 2 boxers and have yet to ruin a pair. Overall I am a fan.... I have 2 pair in each color... Like a previous review said, these are the only shorts I wear so now I don't have to do laundry as often.

These shorts are more expensive than what I'd normally want to pay, but it has what other shorts do not: three zippered pockets. Therefore I can go about my activities without the worry that I might loose my keys, wallet, glasses, etc. It is 100% nylon, so it will neither shrink nor stretch, and are sized accurately. I bought mine a size larger than I might cotton shorts because the accurately-sized ones fit snuggly and I wanted the extra room to tuck in a shirt. The 9" inseam falls about 1" above my knees, which is perfect. As the name implies, these shorts were designed for wear around water; the nylon will dry quickly, the pockets have drainage holes and the interior is mesh lined. It is cool and comfortable to wear, and I would definitely purchase it again.

Do NOT listen to the obese fools who claim these shorts run large in the waist. They are the exact width that they claim to be. Only they don't have 'give' because they're not your standard cotton product. So no extra space for the average beer belly. I have to send mine back and get a smaller size because I listened to the reviews of our more rotund customers. Otherwise they are great quality. Can't wait for the right size to arrive

After washing, the waist-line seems to shrink. I am normally at 36-inch waist, but my first two pairs shrunk. I purchased another pair with a 38 inch waist and after washing, it fit better. The overall quality, however, is exception. It is a well-made travel shorts--light, easy to wash, with zippered pockets, although I wish my would be zipped on the left-side for the back pocket.

Honest fit, this 34 waist is a 34 waist. Wash only in cold water. Trust me. Honey, I shrunk all my old Mountain Khakis -- 31's to 30's, my 32's to 31's and my 33's to 32 -- all in one hot water wash. Big Oops. I promise to machine wash with COLD water this time. Rugged, practical build. Great knock-abouts, deep pockets, triple stitched, industrial strength zippers. Low key styling, looks good with about anything in my closet. Prefer standard relaxed over these short relaxed, but these are still just fine.

These are the best type of short i've ever purchased. I now own 3 pair (khaki, grey and olive). Many pockets like a cargo short without the bulkiness. A 100% nylon short is the new way to go for me. Best of all is the fit. The 9" inseam is perfect for a guy my height (5'7"). I was so tired of finding a short that looked good in the store, only to try it on and the length goes passed my knees. These hit just at my knees or a little above. I never have to wear a belt either. The nylon is very breathable, which i need in Oklahoma with 100+ degree weather. A definite must buy.

Excellent quality shorts. I love the zipper rear pocket and the zipper front left pocket for storing my cell phone. These shorts are great for camping, hiking even including jumping in a lake if you are so inclined since the material dries quickly. And as a casual pair of shorts you can wear them almost anywhere.High quality construction. I have about 4 pairs of these shorts and wish that they still made the same design....

I ordered one size bigger than normal, and after washing in cold water I probably could have worn another size larger. However, I might have been swimming in the larger size. These are great shorts, but for the life of me I can't understand Mountain Khakis' sizes: they are all over the board on various shorts. If they standardized the fit so people knew what size to buy they would probably rate a 5 star.
