Q: Is this a bridge or neck position pickup?

I installed it in the bridge position. This is a high impedance pickup, better suited for the bridge position. Neck position pickups are usually of lower impedance for a fat sweeter tone.

Q: Are these available in a bridge pickup? pictures only show a neck pickup.

This is a bridge pickup. There are pickup sets with both neck (front) and bridge (rear) pickups that are reasonably priced. These are also four conductor wiring so you can coil tap these pickups.

Q: Need help with wiring. Too much hum for humbucker. Red wire to the selector switch green and bare wires to the volume pot. Is this correct?

The red and white wire are soldered together, put a piece of shrink tubing over them so they don't short out. the black wire goes to the hot side of the volume pot. The green wire and the shield are soldered together, they go to ground.

Q: Can a mounting ring be used on a pickguard?

Use a front pickup mounting ring (thinner). It should work.
