Works great!
This pool vacuum works so well! We have an above ground pool and we kept getting pollen and debris that collected in the bottom of the pool but the basic pool vac that came with the pool didn't get all of the particles so I found this one. It works so well and gets all of the tiny bits on the bottom of the pool! It charges quickly, super easy to use and worth the money. Just take care of it and don't leave it in the sun or the bottom panel will warp.

Works great! Used it many times now.
Previously bought a much more expensive pool robot. It broke after one use. So, I thought let’s try this as the reviews looked good. Our pool has a screen enclosure so leaves and sticks are rare, but with rains we do get lots of small debris. This little unit worked like a champ. First, I wisely used a “real” aluminum pole. The unit is light enough to move around yet heavy enough to stay on the bottom and gently scrub at algae. Also, the motor is powerful enough to suck it all up plus get all the sand and tiny gravel that accumulates. You can see in the picture the results. Easy to clean and charge, too. Clever pool vac that I’m hoping gives many seasons of cleaning. And the battery ran fine and strong for a 20,000 gallon pool. We do have a screened in pool that limits a lot of the larger debris, so this is perfect to quickly clean the pool every 2 to 3 weeks. So much easier than setting up the super long hose to the pool filter etc.!Update, the locking handle broke. It’s kind of flimsy plastic. I bought a replacement for a few bucks sadly after a year and a half now it won’t start. It’s a shame because it’s really a great little and effective quick pool vacuum.

It is a decent solution if you want to get rid of powder
I purchased this product about a month ago, mainly to get rid of calcium powder. Later I used to it to get rid of dead algae. It works fairly well for removing powder, even though some of it (not much) leaks back into the pool. Collecting leaves is more challenging. Often times, I have to go over a leaf or several leaves several times for them to be picked up. Assembly is easy. However, once I attached the nozzle to the canister, I could not disconnect it. I was afraid to use too much force not to break the nozzle or the canister (therefore, 1 star for assembly). I found telescopic poles useless. Not too sturdy when connected to each other. Not long enough anyway. I think any pool owner has a longer single-piece extendable pole anyway. I am not sure if I prefer battery power or a cord. Battery is always an extra thing to think about. Today, a plastic piece fell out of the nozzle. Who knows what it is, but the machine is still working.

Awesome!!! Wish I would have purchased sooner.
I've had an above ground pop-up pool for years and have used the cheap water propelled vacuum with the garden hose attachment... Hose was a PITA but great for leaves and other large debris. However, not great with sand/silt/small bugs. The "dust" would go right through the mesh bag and cloud up the pool. This vacuum picks it ALL up!!! 🥰The battery life is 45 mins and it's super easy to assemble. Used for first time today and pool was pretty dirty due to recent storms (Wish I had taken a pick of all the small debris in the canister. Could have made a tiny sand/bug castle with it). Had to stop once to dump the water & spray out the canister & filter and then finished it up and skimmed. Soooo much easier and cleaner than before. Not too expensive, not too cheap and does a great job!!!

Don’t buy!
I bought my first above ground pool for my three and four-year-old grandchildren. They are only three and four, so I bought a small 4 x 7 x 2 foot pool. I needed a way to clean the bottom; although the top is easy to skim with a net, and it is covered when not in use, I noticed the bottom was collecting slippery algae, dirt from little feet, toys thrown in, etc. These children don’t swim yet so I don’t want them to slip under and get scared. I did use chlorine but clearly still needed a vacuum. I don’t have a place to plug in a filter pump so I purchased this water broom.I was intensely disappointed. The batteries were easy to put in, but turning it on is an insane chore. If you turn it to the left or right to turn it on or off, which requires a body builder to do, the basket that contains the filter falls off, but there is no other way to turn it, you need that leverage, especially when wet. It is very hard to do under normal circumstances, and I’m sure the kids learned a new swear word when listening to me trying to turn it off. When I fractured a finger, it became impossible. Even my husband is unable to turn it off or on easily. Believe every review that says it’s hard to turn off and on, because it’s harder than that.I honestly don’t understand how this thing is supposed to work. It has two very tiny little filters, one for big leaves and one for small things, and while it will suck up a few leaves and bugs, it doesn’t suck up much more than that as there isn’t room. Plus, the water comes back out of the side so any dirty water spews right back into the pool. It might look nice while you are sweeping it, but in reality the dirty water is swirling around and will settle as soon as you are done. This was a terrible purchase. It might be fine for a tiny plastic kiddy pool, (maybe) but not for my tiny above ground pool.I am upset when I buy these big sized things because I never am able to send them back once used, but I do want to warn people not to buy this. At least try one of the ones with the bigger filter because this tiny little filter thing won’t even clean my tiny little pool.I have had to drain my pool three or four times this summer just to get it clean enough for the kids to be safe. A chore in itself as it still leaves a foot of water so you constantly have to push the dirty water out. As I said I do use chlorine and I have used algicide. I’m a former fish keeper so I understand water. This broom just doesn’t do the trick, only water changes. I just wish I had an outlet for a filter pump.Nothing is all bad so I will say the battery life is good, and the batteries are well protected from the water. Suction seems ok but since it spits the water back into the pool like a house vacuum without a cannister, I’m not sure if it matters. Um…I guess that’s it. Don’t waste your money. I do not know why this has any good reviews. I bought the updated one, maybe the old one was better?
