Fits like a glove on my OP-1. Hard to tell if other reviewers received a defective product, but the one I got works as advertised. I thought it would simply act as a loose cover, but it actually hangs on to the OP-1 snug enough that I can lift the unit up with it. It's made of thick polycarbonate and offers some serious protection for your thousand-dollar investment. I use it in conjunction with the Soft Carrying Case for Teenage Engineering OP-1 (Black) for worry-free travel. And like another reviewer mentioned, it makes a great stand for the OP-1 when flipped upside-down! Worth every penny.

I wasn't really excited to spend $50 on a cover, but I couldn't be more pleased with this polycarbonate cover. The fit is made specifically for the OP-1 and kind of snaps or flexes onto the OP-1 and covers the keys and knobs only. The fit is tight enough that you can pick up the OP-1 just by the cover, and it still leaves the imput jacks accessible while in place... which is nice if you want to charge it. I pretty much keep the cover on whenever I'm not using the OP-1, kind of like you'd use a turtable dust cover. I haven't tried this, but the plastic feels sturdy enough that you could sit on it without incident. Made in the UK, the color is kind of transparent smoky grey. If you were traveling with this on your OP-1, I feel like you could throw it in a duffle bag or briefcase without worry, though you might want to wrap it in a teeshirt or cloth to keep the paint on the OP-1 from getting scratched by other itmes in the bag and to ensure that the case didn't pop off. I read one reviewer likes to use those silicone wristbands as straps to make sure it's tightly in place, so that would be another option as well.

I would think of this as more of a dust-cover, not so much a case. Obviously the bottom of the unit is still exposed. Also it does not (repeat does NOT) snap onto the OP-1 as some people are saying. I have the OP-1 reissue, and the cover loosely sits on it. So if you wanted to put it in a bag, you'd have to put rubber bands around it or something. I do like that when you are playing, you can flip the case and put it on the bottom to prop it up. It looks clean, it is a smoky grey color, not clear plastic. Also it's nice that the ports are exposed, so you don't have to unplug anything while it's on (i.e. if you have it connected to DAW, or are charging it). It's spendy for what it is. I almost wish I had gone with a soft case, perhaps the official TE one. However I only use mine at home, so this is probably best for my situation. The plastic feels very sturdy, though I imagine it could get scratched up carrying it loosely in a bag or something. So keep these things in mind before you buy. It is what it is, and it ain't what it's not.

At first I thought this polycarbonate cover was an overpriced indulgence, until I got it. Now I'm glad to have it and am impressed with it's quality. It fits like a glove. Across all four corners it mates perfectly with my OP-1, with just the slightest bit of friction or grab along the sides, exactly what you would want. The shape is perfect and I'm confident if its level of protection. I haven't decided on a case yet but may settle on the Meme, which has cut outs that fit around this cover.

Fits well - rests on top - does NOT snap or lock in - but I don't think it's supposed to. This thing feels solid and durable. A rubber band around it keeps it locked in.Pricey, yes, but so is everything else in the OP-1 realm - happy with this purchase.

I’d decided to get this after seeing that it practically snapped on to the OP1 and was a very snug fit.Mine has about 2-3mm of play in it and it arrived scuffed. The goal was to have it fit snug so I could carry it in a bag.Now I just use rubber bands to hold it in place.That said, it is hard and does a good job protecting it, just wasn’t what I was anticipating, especially after reading other reviews and waiting a month for it to ship.
