Be prepared to install a driver
This printer was a big pain to set up. I had to download a driver, which took multiple attempts to set up. This is not just a plug in and go printer, so be prepared to spend some time setting it up.Now that it’s working, my chief complaint is that it regularly will grab 10-15 pages of paper as it’s printing, which messes up the print job. I have adjusted the paper tension, but it still continues to do this intermittently. It also seems to go through ink super fast and the ink cartridges are expensive.Overall, it’s okay. It works and gets most jobs done.

Nice All-In-One Printer
Unlike my other printer (hp Envy) this printer maintains a strong Wi-Fi connection, and I don’t have to wake it to start a printing process. It is not too wide, but it is a bit on the tall side (much like a cube) and mainly has to be stored on top of a shelf/desk. Colors are good and print quality is nice too. It was very easy to set up, however, one of my devices couldn’t establish a connection with the printer and I had to connect via ip address (not that hard to find and add). So far I have not experienced any ink smudges or bleeding on anything I’ve printed yet. It is user friendly and I believe it is a mid-range printer of high results that every small business or home should have at a very good price.

Connects to 5Ghz WiFi!
When Frontier Communications dropped our 2.4Ghz band my older Epson Workforce Pro 3620 wasn’t able to connect/find our WiFi. I print directly from my Apple devices using AirPrint and wanted to continue printing this way. Trips to Best Buy and Office Depot were unsuccessful, and at both stores I was told all printers they had only were compatible with 2.4Ghz. Thankfully an Amazon reviewer of this printer said Comcast did the same thing to him and this Epson printer worked. I am grateful he did the review. I just set it up…super easy, plug and go, and the touchscreen is a big improvement as my 3620 didn’t have one. It was also easy for me (70s) to carry. For anyone else out there looking for a 5Ghz compatible printer this one fits the bill.

Good Printer
Given the 'not so good' reviews, I was a little apprehensive to buy this printer at first. This replaces a WF3620, in which I was very happy with its performance. But the print head began to print only Yellow and Black, and several attempts to 'unclog' the Cyan and Magenta nossles proved unsuccessful. But, I am very happy with the WF3820 - both with the price and the performance. It is faster and the graphics are clear and sharp. The 'jury' is still out on how much toner it uses, but suspect it is around the same as with the WF3620. If so, then I will retain my 5 Star rating.

WIFI connection problems
Printer has WIFI connection issues with dual band routers that use the same SSID for 2.4 and 5 GHz. This important issue is not mentioned on the installation sheet, but is found deep in the manual. Most people wouldn't expect to have to refer to the manual if they are following the "quick start" installation sheet. I didn't either and called Epson tech support. They didn't seem to know about the router issue, couldn't help and promised to investigate and call me back. Three different calls from me ended the same way. No call back. While waiting for the call I scanned the manual where I found information about the need to have different names for 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. I made the change to my router and the problem was solved. How can it be that this isn't noted on the setup instructions and that the tech support people don't know about it. Why no call back? Printer us working fine now, but instructions and tech support issues are baffling. I came very close to returning the printer. I see in other reviews that WIFI connection is a big problem.
