Preparation is the key to this being a successful stern mounting job.
Prevents putting holes in your expensive boat. I have been using it for three years and it is still rock solid. I even mounted a 8.5 inch transducer to it with zero issues. Installation is the key. Take your time prepping the mounting area, scuff it up and use alcohol to clean the area. I mounted it and firmly kept pressure on it. I then ran a small bead of 5200 sealant around the bottom. Great product.

This thing is nice. The 3M tape was a nice touch. It holds it so you can seal it up. I used this in conjunction with marine grade sealant and it came out beautifully. I got the jumbo for the bigger boat and like how it came out also. Great idea, only one a have seen with the option of tape. Others require drilling or glueing. Might as well drill for the transducer if you’re doing that. Only down side is that it’s 3D printed!! Very porous texture, hope it stands up to water and fungus. Would strongly recommend.

Don't ever drill your hull
I have used these several times, once to replace a transducer on a used boat, that someone mangle the hull will holes, I sealed the holes, then installed this.... problem solved.I also used this on my new boat, no holes, and they don't come loose if you follow the directions on installation

Well designed product. Can’t speak for the durability yet.
I cannot speak for the durability of the product having only installed it a couple of days ago however it seems to be well designed and includes everything you’ll need to install it. I added a bead of silicon around the area where the sticky tape connect to the boat. Time will tell about the durability.
