Good story

Great book made even better with the lovely illustrations. Abridged classics are a great way to start a child off on the habit of reading! This was a gift and everyone absolutely loved it.

The classic - good binding to keep in home library, my son's loved it.

I liked the story, if you are purchasing, great choice! Diction is easy just some words may be hard other easy and very interesting, there are all parts I II III and IV, just pages are a bit like they were first wet and then dried, however great book

4 stars because there are none colourful pics in it. Otherwise 5 star

The language is a little tough for 8-9 year olds. It's good for 10-12 year olds.

This series is terrific. My fifth grader is required to have a silent reading book with him at school everyday. He loves these “highlights” versions of classics and it is good exposure for high school reading lists.

The hard cover with a beautiful illustration belies the black and white very ordinary pictures inside the book and as it was already too late getting it(despite ordering the books 3 weeks before hand) I didn't have time to read it but I remember this book being in smaller print with lots of lovely sketches and I remember it was quite a large novel. So I hope that it wasn't condensed and I am just not remembering it as well as I thought I had. I don't think it was worth nearly $30 .

I wanted this fine illustrated edition of the "children's" (not really) classic. I have read some poor attempts at satirizing the current President of the USA. I wished to read a master satirizing a government of old.

Classic! I bought this for my 9 year old grandson as he read Treasure Island nd enjoyed it
