Quick and convenient
This is my first time buying these on Amazon and these are pretty much the same thing as anywhere else. This is the most common brand you can get so you pretty much know what to expect otherwise. Either you like it or you don't. If you're not familiar with ochazuke though, it's basically a small seasoning packet you throw over a bowl of leftover rice. Each packet is sized for a small bowl. This stuff is typical Japanese pantry fare like an instant soup mix. Just add hot water and done! This particular flavor is umeboshi. What is it? It's bits of dried salted plum, crunchy dried flowers and seeds of an herb called shiso, and bits of crispy rice crackers for added texture. This is mixed into the standard base of tea and seaweed which is much more subtle. The taste is best described as salty, sour, chewy, crunchy, fragrant, and soupy all at the same time.

I absolutely love this
If you are hungry and short on time, this was perfect for me and super yummy! I suggest you give it a try. I particularly enjoyed the umeboshi. The salmon version is also quite tasty!

These are quite good!
I'm glad I bought them and you get so many packets in one order. The only thing I wish is that this mix had more pickled plum pieces, but for now I just buy some fresh pickled plums from the Asian market and chop them up and throw them in the bowl instead

Very delicious.
I like it very much. Not too crunchy, crunchy. But a little bit gooshy gooshy.

Useful, And There's A Lot Of It
Chazuke is a great way to use up day old rice. Just throw the rice in a bowl, sprinkle the mix on top, and pour boiling water over it.Admittedly, you have to like green tea a bit, but it's good, cheap, and turns day-old rice for marginally edible to tasty porridge.

A great quick solution to make Japanese tea rice and I recommend this highly.
This is great for making Japanese tea rice. I like all the flavors but am particularly fond of the Ume Plum flavor. I eat tea rice as comfort food or if I’m not feeling well. I usually add a packet to a cup of microwave rice with just enough boiling water to make it soft without being too sloppy, some sesame oil and an egg or two and I’ve got a good quick soothing small meal. I recommend this highly.
