Lots of Action
The 5th installment of the Frontlines series does not disappoint. This one is almost nonstop action. Good storytelling and character building makes this a good read.

Great installment!
Great installment - providing more details into the Lankies and how they are able to do what they do. Looking forward to the next in the series!

Insightful
There were times I needed to put this book down because it drew me in so thoroughly it provoked deep emotions. The reality of war and the loss it causes is so thoroughly depicted, even though it is a novel with a fictitious enemy. I will be reading this series again.

How do these aliens not have guns?
So I thought this book was fairly good, but didn’t quite make sense to me. The seed ships were killed pretty easily and then they just didn’t have enough ammo to kill them from tunnels? And how do these aliens have such technology but have to charge the humans point blank to smack them hand to hand. Can’t they at least throw rocks or build a slingshot? Just didn’t make a ton of sense even if I enjoyed it.

Red Beach - Mars
I was totally exhausted at the finish of this book and absolutely loved it. This is definitely a movie I’d watch over and over again. I so wanted to be there!

Engaged
There are seven published books in Marko Kloos’s Frontline series, and I’m starting #7, Order of Battle, today. I bought Terms of Enlistment back Late November or early December, 2021 (somehow Amazon lost the fact that I bought this book through them. All the rest of the seven books in the Frontline series are there in my order history, but not #1. It should be.What’s telling is that I’m writing my reading experience on January 23, 2022, less than two months after I finished reading the first book in the Frontline series. In #1, Andrew Grayson, the POV character, enlists and goes to bootcamp where he meets the love of his life. Since Grayson is the POV character in every book, why should I spoil your reading experience by telling you what happens to him as he climbs the ranks and becomes an experienced battle-hardened veteran also dealing with the PTSD that comes along with that ride.Because I’m going to post this review for the first six books in the Frontline series today, I’m not going to review the stories. Instead, I’m going to share my reading experience with all six books one time only and post it six times, and then post again when I finish #7 and again with #8 when it comes out in August 2020.I have one complaint: really, Marko, I have to wait almost eight months for Centers of Gravity (Frontlines, 8) Paperback – August 30, 2022.Okay, what kind of reader/writer am I? Yes, I also write books and have a few available on Amazon but since this reader’s experience is about a great sc3ence fiction series, and I haven’t published any science fiction, don’t waste your time finding out what I write. Anyway, I can say with conviction that my historical fiction and trillers do not measure up to the stories Marko Kloos writes, and I’m doing my best to learn something from Kloos. I mean learning what his magic plot recipe is that had me waking up as early as 3:00 AM to read instead of sleep.Hey, I was an avid reader long before I became a published author. Go back a few decades to when I was in high school and I was reading two paperback books daily instead of paying attention in class and doing homework, explaining why I barely earned a high school degree. To be clear, back then, I preferred reading science fiction, fantasy and historical fiction more than studying and pretty much ignored what was going on in my high school classes. When I joined the US Marines and ended up in bootcamp at MCRD, right out of high school, my reading habits changed dramatically and never came anywhere close to matching how fast I could read when I was in high school, until I finished Marko Kloos’s Terms of Enlistment. If there was a parallel series with Halley, Andrew’s soul mate, as the POV character, I’d be reading that next. Instead, I’m probably going to start reading Kloos’s Palladium Wars series. I mean, I’m interested in learning what life was like for Halley since over a period of about a decade these soul mates only spend about six months tougher and the rest of the time, they are off fighting to save humanity from extinction from an alien species, the Lankies. There’s got a be a story Halley wants to share with us, too. Hint! Hint! While reading this series, I’ve laughed, my eyes have filled with tears, and I have been riveted to the stories, page after page.

Fields of Fire - continues the battle against an alien race like no other
As I continue my journey with this crew of space jocks and podheads, I have had no regrets. Author Marko Kloos has the talent to keep a series like 'Frontlines' from ever getting trite or boring. From the first book. "TERMS OF ENLISTMENT," when Andrew Grayson had to make a decision that would affect his entire life. His character represents the millions of young men and women who make similar choices in real life. I've met many of them. These are good stories with relatable people and personalities. The wonderful audible performances by Luke Daniels have given each of them a 'voice' to match the personality. I have already started Book 6, " POINTS OF FIRE." I will never hesitate to read a book by Marko Kloos or narrated by Luke Daniels. I definitely recommend this book and the entire series. - Mr.Bill

Its a good series Brint.
The entirety of the series can quite easily be described with really only one word and be perfectly accurate. More. More Please. If you want to be polite.I've read the entire current series so far and even purchased them all even though I have Kindle Prime. This author is great and deserves to be supported.

Riveting!!
Simply the best book in the series yet. I've been absolutely unable to put this set of books down since I started reading them. I've recently got into Military Sci-fi, thanks to Tripp Ellis and Scott Bartlett (and a lot of Stackpole / Battletech), so thought I'd try Marko Kloos' well-regarded series. Boy, am I glad I did. This series is simply excellent. The characters, scenarios and ships are all expertly written, and unlike many books, you're not left shouting (silently inside your head, if you're not crazy like me), "OH COME ON!!!!" when the actors do something daft.. Not a bit of that here, everyone acts completely true-to-form, an even in making mistakes do so in a completely understandable way. There are a few times I've cheered out loud, or groaned audibly (causing concerned looks from people sitting next to me), following the fate of the protagonists... Things are really starting to heat up in the series now. I can't wait for book 6!!!If you love Sci-Fi, and you love a good bit of ship-on-ship action, do yourself a favour and read some of these!

Good as always but too short
Not up with the previous novels. I mean it's entertaining as always, but it's kind of a tv series episode compared to the movies of the previous chapters. Still I can't wait for the sequel.
