Throw "cleaning the underside of the mower" into the category of things I don't remember adults doing when I was a kid. I'm not sure how I missed this little tidbit of adult life, but it is clearly an absolutely necessary maintenance procedure if you don't want your mower stinking or dropping piles of wet grass clippings onto your freshly mowed lawn. We had been using a regular old garden hoe for this job, for which it is obviously ill suited because of the squareish shape of a garden hoe, and the roundish shape of a mower's undercarriage. I wanted to see if there was a better way, and turned to my boyfriend, Amazon. This thing has been the answer to my prayers. Because of the perfectly shaped blade on the end, I can scrape out the thickly matted clippings in under 30 seconds. You just swipe this sucker around under your mower's skirt and she's clean as a whistle. The plastic handle is nice and heavy-duty, and the blade is actually square on the the other side (which you can switch to) if you need something with corners. I just like to get in there up close and personal so that this job goes more quickly and I'm sure I've gotten everything, but my other boyfriend (who sometimes mows my lawn) gets a bit squeamish for some reason and likes to stay as far away as possible. If that's your bag too, this handy little tool has a threaded hole on the end of the handle for you to screw in a broom handle and stand really far away while you perform this task. It's not my thing, but that option is available if it's your thing. Overall pretty great little tool. I've only used it 3 or 4 times so far, but I can't think of any shortcomings at all. It does everything I want it to do.

This is the best tool ever for those of us that cannot use water on the underdeck of our battery operated mowers.This tool is everything that was described as being easy to use and doing a good clean up job on the lawn mower underside.I am a female with hands that are not the strongest & can do a really good cleanup.

I have a front-mount mower (Grasshopper) with a power lift deck, so it's easy for me to get under the deck and clean it after each use, as I can easily lift the deck up for access. With regular use, the tools works fine. If you let things get out of control, It doesn't seem as effective, as the blade isn't really large enough to dig in to really caked-on grass. It does have a blade that reverses (one end is square and the other is rounded), so you get two types of blades. I only use the square one, which seems more aggressive.The handle is comfortable and large enough to grip without too much effort. I've had the product for one mowing season (so far) and it seems to be holding up, so I can't speak to its longevity yet.

I needed something to scrape my new mower that had a curved edge. I have a Kobalt 80v Max push mower that has a lot of curved areas on the underside of the deck. This tool works well with that as well as the straight areas. Overall it works better than a regular putty knife & it seeps like it will be pretty durable as well. Time will tell !!

This scraper works well for cleaning the underside of your mower but I can't really recommend it since the seller has stated that replacement blades are not available. Otherwise it is a good product.

Great tool for cleaning the mower deck. Used to use putty knife with some success but this is way better. Good solid feel makes it much more effective.

I was extremely disappointed with the quality of this product. It looked decent enough to purchase and the contoured blade as well as the flat scraping blade work well scraping the mower deck. However the overall build quality of the tool was subpar at best. It literally broke within the first 5 minutes of use. I didn't even finish cleaning the riding mower deck once before it was unusable. It never lived to see the push mower. It has a swiveling blade that locks into position. However the only thing that locks it into position are two little plastic nubs which sheared right off. Once that happens its useless. Very poor build quality. I would recommend NOT buying this product. I'm hoping to receive a full refund for this purchase. Very bad very bad!

It's well made, sturdy and does the job I bought it to do.
