Tests & Measurement for People Who Hate Tests & Measurement
As an introductory text or as a text for review/update for practicing professionals, this book provides a complete understanding in a well-thought out format from basic to advanced issues about tests and measurement. It has been helpful to me both as a resource and as the required text for a graduate course in Tests & Measurement. The author's approach to practice questions at the end of each chapter, wherein he asks and gives the answers, seems to be a concept sharpening device, particularly liked by many students. Altogether, this is the only text I have seen that is readily and continuously readable for those who think that the subject is dry and boring. Saved my bacon in my assessment class
My Tests and Assessment text was so awful! I called it the Handbook for the Recently Deceased because it was written like stereo instructions. Not the way to engender passion for the subject. This book taught me the basic principles in a much more accessible way. I'd strongly recommend it as a translation text for the Tests and Assessment book!

Test & Measurements
This text relays authoritative content, a time-tested step-by-step approach, and abundant use of research examples. With improved clarity and readability, this edition strengthens its focus on evidence-based practice to better demonstrate how the steps of the research process relate to evidence-based nursing. In addition, the text offers unique insights into understanding, appraising, and applying published research to evidence-based practice.

False condition and comments
The condition was stated to be "Like New" but you could tell that the book was worn. Not to mention, the comments said, "no writing in margins or text. Great condition." However, there was writing AND underlining on almost every page of the book.

For a statistics manual...
Okay, let me preface this with the statement that psychological statistics is just not for me. That being said, the material in this text is covered in a fairly exhaustive manner but it can be wordy at times. There are example provided for most concepts as well as http addresses that provide follow up material if the concepts are still hard to grasp. It is a fairly short text which gives one the assumption (and hopes) that the material is considerably concise and that not too much time is spent worrying about the word count of a decently expensive manual. If you need to buy a book for statistics or if this is required for your class then, although you really have no choice for the class, I would recommend this text.
