Wilma Unlimited: How Wilma Rudolph Became the World's Fastest Woman

This book is about Wilma Rudolph, an amazing athlete and human being, from my home town. I knew and highly respected her. I got the book for a young lady that I was tutoring as a gift. The student had never heard of Wilma and I wanted her to be able to introduce her to her family with this book.

I read the book young wanted an inspirational book too help my oldest granddaughter practice reading something of over coming obstacles in life! At 8 she still needs help wish it came in a child addition

As a runner and mother to twin girls I am always looking for books with strong female characters. Well this fit the bill perfectly! This is a great story of determination and perseverance and is great for any kid, BOY or GIRL, 4 and up! Not only do girls need to hear about females they can admire, but its just as important for our boys to hear about them as well!! Boys that respect girls, grown up to be men that respect women!

A very nice, educational biography with great illustrations that will grab and hold your child's attention. The some of the vocabulary did challenge my 7 year old but she made it through without getting frustrated. I am very happy about this purchase!

My granddaughter needed books on Wilma Rudolph for a 5th grade school project. This ended up being her favorite. The text was just right for her understanding and she really liked the illustrations. As she was reading it she clutched it to her chest and exclaimed to me, "Grandma, I love this book!" It prompted a conversation about overcoming doubts, believing in yourself and what things inspire us... a conversation I don't think we would have had otherwise.

Beautifully written... educational... interesting... and the illustrations are awesome. Good for grades 2-4. Educationally you can go further with this book by researching Wilma Rudolph and learning more things about her. I highly recommend this book.

I'm a grandmother and have heard about Wilma's story many times but then when I saw the book come out for children I couldn't wait to get it for my grandchildren to see how much she persevered--it motivates children to not give up in life and God always has a plan for our lives.

An interesting biography for my granddaughter. Her teacher had read it to her at school and she loved it! She asked me to get it for her for her birthday. I loved the artistic illustrations!

This book can be a perfect gift to our young readers. It has good quality paper and printing with colorful pages . Will keep kids engrossed
