I was initially worried since the instructions recommended that you connect it to your 12v lighter outlet (!?) and it said the remote was IR (i.e. requires a line of sight to the control box). The remote itself said it was RF, though, so I was hopeful.Thankfully the info in the instructions was wrong and it's fine if you hook it up normally (through the fuse box or directly to the battery). The remote has a decent range (limit to about 10-20ft from the car... works easily/well from inside the car, obviously).The wires are a little short but they worked fine for my 2009 acura tsx. I wanted to stay on the subtle (and legal) side so I only installed the side strips. A 3rd strip I used facing up from low in the engine bay to create an engine-glow effect with the hood open (you don't see it when hood closed). The 4 pieces are connected to the box as Long-short on one wire, and Short-long on another wire. Since I only needed the two long, I cut off the short on the Long-short without issue. The short on the Short-long I used in the engine bay.The adhesion is ridiculously weak so I had to find a different way to install (there are rubber seals on the car I was able to use along the side). I wish there were a few more zip ties and plastic screw clamps included. I think there are only 6-8 of each - there should be about twice that many to give you enough options.As for the lighting - it seems fine. Just as I hoped/expected. All the functions seem to work, and the fade effect is very smooth transitioning from color to color. There are enough LEDs so that there are no bright/dim spots on the ground under the strips. It's a smooth lighted area. The brightness adjustment goes down to a very low level, but the highest level may not be enough for some. Don't expect Disco (or blinding)-bright.One little annoyance is that the brightness/FadeJumpSpeed adjustment flashes white when you try to go up/down when it is already at the highest/lowest setting. I understand the purpose of it (to let you know you've maxed/min'ed the setting), but it makes me scared to adjust it while on the road since flashing lights (white/red/green/blue) are illegal here in Ontario. It's a minor quibble since I probably should be focused on driving, anyway.

We love these adhesive underglow led lights. I have them installed on my golf cart. They look really neat at night. Everyone always compliments us on them. They are really easy to install. You just peel and stick them on the undercarriage. We made sure it was a clean surface and also wiped it down with a alcohol pad. It wires right up to the battery. It comes with a remote to choose the different colors. My favorite setting is usually where it fades through all the colors slowly. These are waterproof and stick really well if properly applied.

Excellent product easy to install..super bright only thing the main cord needs to be longer for the control box
